Look, we're the only real fan base in this massive city. You think 1,000 people is good? If you had snipers aimed at the stands, people would actually show up just out of pure spite. That's how much we need to shake things up.
And don't even get me started on them banning the flag and pictures at the indoor games. We need to talk about that too.
boldtrucker19 said:15 years ago, you had maybe 7-10 heavy hitters doing all the actual work. The wider circle was another 30 guys ready to jump in when things got messy, while everyone else just sat there watching, whining, and grabbing beers.
Man, if we had this many people running around 25 years ago, we would've been totally screwed...
You clearly don't realize how far we've come... We're basically in outer space now, man.
rowdytrucker3 said:I gotta say, the blacklist looks way smaller. Yesterday it was just one section instead of that massive list they had 2 and a half years ago🙂 after I finally decided to show up at the stadium again after a 3-year break :tanctanc:
Nah, if you ask me, it actually grew. I was up there for the first time today and ran into a bunch of guys who were either newbies or returning to the stands too...
Who knows what kind of crazy logic those club suits use to decide who gets banned...
From the crews I run with, today felt just as dead, if not more, than a Major League Soccer match. There’s a total lack of kids—those 15 to 18-year-olds who usually swarm the place. Let 'em stay away, honestly.
Look, you can't blame the kids when damn bullets are flying. They should probably be heading to a bootcamp instead. Back in the spring, those kids were all over the East Side, but today? Nowhere to be found.
Nathan Kelly5 said:what kind of comeback are you even talking about? there were maybe 2,000 of us around Yankee Stadium today. if things were actually normal, we’d see 3 or 4k, and that's it. what do you want, ten million people? we’ve never had that many. once we start seeing 10-15k per game, then maybe the lower stands fill up. but that won't happen until the club gets its act together—basically until the management screws us over again and people actually start showing up for the team and the sport. right now, people aren't going to the stadium to cheer, they're going to protest.
plus look at the crowd around you. 90% are older fans. half the stands are probably 30+. go to any other fan section in Europe, you won't find this. and think about who's missing from the stands—the hardcore guys who are all banned or blacklisted.
you see how in this whole country, you can't even get 200 people together for a protest in an hour anymore, even when people's lives are on the line. meanwhile, we've been banging our heads against a wall for five years, still pushing and refusing to back down. we're here every week and we aren't quitting. while everyone else threw in the towel, instead of being proud together, there's always someone needing to talk trash and count heads.
is anyone forcing you to show up? if you're sick of it, just don't. peace.
Exactly.
Put simply: the old guard is in the stands, the middle group is banned or blacklisted, and parents aren't letting their kids come. You could really feel the lack of anyone under 20 today.
I mean, can you blame a kid for staying home when his parents are watching news reports about people getting blasted with tear gas? This isn't just "fans fighting" anymore, even if some people refuse to admit it.
There are plenty of those kids at Major League Soccer games, which is why that matters. That's where the next generation of fans gets raised. They aren't gonna grow up in a camp, and they won't turn into thugs later. We thought we'd lose those generations, but we won't.
Christian Miller48. You want me to start digging up all those posts of yours that are basically just 80% pure, useless negativity?
Look, you’re entitled to your opinion, and hey, maybe you've got reasons to be feeling down, but none of that makes your attitude make sense. Whether you're doing it on purpose or it's some personal stuff, it's just pointless. 😉
It says the FBI is breathing down the neck of the Police Department. They’re basically saying the whole D.C. Police Department was in the Mayor's pocket—it was all one big joke about how nothing ever changes, except for those police investigations that actually drag on forever.
So, if that's the case, imagine what it's like dealing with Mamić...
Something's brewing. You've got people showing up who haven't even been to a game in five or ten years.
Smart move. Show some grit, sure, but play it smart too. At this point, the only thing that can sink us is our own stupidity. This is the breaking point.
Look, saying Ed Koch is basically George Washington is only an issue because that was a part of America where only the biggest scumbags turned into communists and joined the party.
And honestly, I don't buy this whole thing about dividing regions just to label thieves. To me, a thief is anyone who thinks the government should take my money just to hand it to someone else. Communist and socialist ideology is theft by its very nature.
What we’re seeing today is just the fallout from 45 years of total lawlessness.
casualbadger14 said:Not sure what kind of metrics he's using to call him a Red still.
By those standards? He was a party member, spent 20 years in the Democratic Party, studied Defense, worked for the FBI, and loves posing for photos with Tito's old beggar.
Joseph Turner41 said:Smisliti some kind of chant to shake up the whole arena during the game🙂. Why not play the situation? Something subtle but loud enough so everyone knows who's next on the chopping block
Why even waste breath on that loser? The indoor soccer team and BBB will still be around long after he’s rotting in some prison cell waiting for his buddy Milančo.
The issue is this country only ever bites when things get this shallow. It’s how mediocre types—like our politicians, the mob, and all the trash running this place—stay afloat.
What does Šimunić even know? He rolls in from somewhere like Australia with his head full of nonsense.
It's a waste of time even talking about him or anyone else. We all know who's actually pulling the strings.
analogheron19 said:Duh, everyone gets it. Those who don't? They'll figure it out soon enough. No biggie.
And it's more than that. You've got people from groups like T. in Boise, then L., then A., and basically whoever wants to play dress-up, getting full press credentials and neon vests like they're actual CNN reporters, just wandering around snapping pics.
No major club anywhere else would give credentials or filming access to someone who isn't actually part of a newsroom. That's why I'm saying there's no point in messing this up—everything can be smoothed over if you play it right.
analogheron19 said:Yeah, I figure some things can be fixed right here on this forum if they can't be handled any other way. If people can actually learn something or take some good advice from this thread instead of elsewhere, then why not? I honestly feel like I have the right to speak my mind here when there's no other outlet, even if I'm being stubborn as hell about it. I don't care what anyone thinks. It sucks that people jump down my throat for trying to give honest, helpful advice instead of just taking it so we can all move on peacefully. And no, I haven't listed the most extreme cases of mindless rule-following yet, so stop policing my every word. Like I said, the advice is out there. I'm sure some people are listening, and if we all just get smarter together, we'll keep winning.
Alright, fine. Let's "helpfully" tell people that if they want to film, they should just move to a different bleacher to do it. It makes zero sense filming your own section while you're sitting in it; you'd get way better shots from somewhere else anyway.
There’s no point standing in the middle of a fan section recording with your phone like some clueless tourist. You just end up looking like a total idiot. Right?
