Canon printer leaving shadows/ghosting on text in Computer Peripherals ·
One day this printer was working perfectly fine, just doing its thing, but now it’s out here doubling up certain letters like it has a mind of its own. I’ve already tried running the head cleaning and alignment cycles, which did absolutely nothing, and even attempting a water flush didn't help much either... You can see exactly what I mean in these photos where I circled the mess in red pen

The colors all seem to be holding up okay, it's just the black text that's acting up. It doesn't feel like a clog, it's more like a specific section of the print head just stopped cooperating entirely
Cable TV subscription Part II in Law ·

No.
We really need to scrap this whole radio license fee nonsense; at this point, it’s just pure stupidity...
And if they were going to charge for TV, it should be about $8.25 a month.
Over in the Czech Republic, that's roughly what they pay, and they’re pretty much a mirror image of America when it comes to size, population, and general living standards...
And their TV service actually works properly.

Oh, come on now. How else are our local network stars supposed to survive on a standard $5000 salary? They've grown accustomed to pulling in $40,000, and they've all taken out massive loans... how are they ever going to pay those back if we actually cut their paychecks?
As for me, a collector has shown up at my door three times already. Once, back in our old apartment, my wife accidentally opened the door before she could hide everything, but she managed to play dumb just in time. When he asked if we had a TV, she just said NO. Then he asked if we had a radio too, and she doubled down with another NO. And that was that... In the new place, they've been by twice, but they haven't actually opened the door. Maybe they showed up more than that, but we probably weren't home...🙂
Honestly, if the subscription was only around $8.25, I might actually consider paying it. But eighty bucks? No way in hell. For that kind of money, you have a massive selection of premium packages to choose from, rather than this absolute garbage...
