Humans haven't changed in millions of years... in Philosophy ·
I truly believe the first step taken by our primate ancestors was the invention of tools. From there, humans just kept finding new ways to make life easier—think of things like organized religion, the power plug, or electricity.

And now, we’ve suddenly hit the 21st century, where you seem to think humanity has reached its peak or simply hit a dead end.

What comes next is exploration—not just exploring the world, but understanding ourselves and finding our actual place in the natural order. We aren't the center of the universe, and we aren't at the top of the food chain. That realization has been driving us since the days of Charles Darwin.

Personally, I think the next logical step is the total disappearance of religion. But, being the pessimist that I am, I suspect this society will probably tear itself apart in wars before it actually manages to evolve.
