What is the actual value of a human life? in Spirituality ·
Big plans and grand initiatives don't mean a damn thing in the end. At the end of the day, we all have the right to live our lives however we see fit, and honestly, trying to debate the actual "value" of a human life is just a waste of breath. You'll always have some high-and-mighty type stepping in to claim that a spiritual seeker’s life carries more weight than an "unconscious" wealthy doctor, or even an American over a Mexican. How much a life is actually worth? That's something you really have to ask yourself. The only person who can truly weigh the value of their own existence is them.

That’s just a subtle sign that you can't pay the bills with magic tricks, so it's time to actually roll up your sleeves and get to work.

Hmm... so, Native Americans were "resisting civilization"? Someone please explain this logic to me: who actually bothered to ASK them what they thought? Even most Americans admit that the whole situation was a massive injustice toward Native Americans. It wasn't some grand cultural exchange; it was just a raw fight over territory. They weren't offered fair compensation or any way to coexist—they were just shoved off into these desolate wastelands where white settlers had zero financial interest. You really need to dig into some actual history regarding Native Americans. Honestly, you won't find many examples of white people acting with any sense of decency back then. Besides, if someone has lived on a piece of land for centuries and you suddenly decide to move in, the burden is on *you* to respect the rules of the game, not the other way around.

Or maybe the real kicker is this: since white settlers had all the firepower, Native Americans were basically forced to be more "tolerant"? 😎
