Are we actually avoiding a massive war with Iran?

It feels like we're constantly on the edge of a huge escalation with these airstrikes. The pause in bombing is a good sign, but I can't tell if diplomacy is actually working or just stalling for time. Do you guys think a peaceful "off-ramp" is even realistic right now?
