I have a quick question for the group. I think someone already brought this up on the first page...
Anyway, I just got back from Egypt and originally wanted to knock out a certification while I was there. In the end, I didn't quite have the time, so I decided I'd rather give it some real focus and more dedicated time later on. Everywhere I turned, people were pushing PADI courses where you can grab a certification in just four days. Honestly, I was a little skeptical about how fast that could be, but it turns out those courses really do wrap up in that four-day window.
Now that I'm back home in Chicago, I have the chance to sign up for a CMAS course instead, and I was wondering if a CMAS certificate is actually recognized in places like Egypt or Thailand, or if I’ll specifically need to go through PADI to dive there...

How long does it actually take to get an LLC set up so I can finally start using my business account to buy things, or have people send payments my way? I read one person mention it took them about six weeks, but then just a few pages back, someone else was saying it only takes a couple of days...

I thought maybe this might help someone out.
So, I attended a trade show in Chicago and came across a company with products that were exactly what I was looking for. Once I got back home to Washington, D.C., I sent them an email to get the ball rolling. I ended up working closely with one lady there who was incredibly helpful through the entire process. It took a few months to iron everything out while I was perfecting my order, and honestly, I was pretty nervous—it was my first time importing anything, and we were talking about a total value of around $100,000. She actually helped me find a shipping company, Mediterranean Shipping Company, and sent over all the necessary paperwork via DHL, which I then handed off to my freight forwarder. He handled the rest, finding a carrier to deliver two containers directly to my warehouse, and that was really it.
She even asked if I wanted to hire my own agent, but I decided to just trust her to handle everything instead. In the end, everything went perfectly, and they were such a pleasure to work with.

My dad's cholesterol levels have been running pretty high lately, so he definitely needs to make some changes to his routine. A few of his friends mentioned they’d heard about a medication called Crestor that can supposedly drop blood cholesterol by as much as 50 percent. I did a bit of digging and found their website online, and honestly, on paper, the drug looks like a total game-changer. I was wondering if anyone here has personally used it, or if you know someone who takes it here in the States, and whether it actually lived up to the hype for them. Also, does it require a prescription from a doctor, or is it something you can just pick up over the counter? From what I can tell, it's already FDA-approved here in the US
