How can I grow $40,000 in a single year? in Economy ·
crimsonseal6 said:I’m going to make you at least $30,000 over the next year. I’m only asking for a 10% cut of the profits for myself. Look, I get it—it sounds way too good to be true, but I’m being dead serious here. We can sit down, I'll show you all the paperwork and everything, and then you can decide if you're interested. There's zero risk involved... honestly, you don't even have to worry about losing your shirt. The only real question is how much we actually walk away with, and based on how things have been trending lately, there's no way it drops below $30k.

So, just out of pure curiosity—and I mean this in the most non-confrontational way possible—if you’ve got a return like that (around 75%), why wouldn't you just take out a $10,000 loan from Chase or something and pocket the full $7,500 instead of settling for a 10% cut, which is basically just $3,000?

🙄 🙄
My big goal is hitting full financial independence within 5 years. I’m already making moves to get there—which basically means aggressive saving, getting my money into investments, and mostly just learning how not to lose my mind waiting for things to grow... practicing that patience.

And here I was thinking my 10-year roadmap was being overly ambitious...
Wait, help me out here—did you set this goal years ago so you're actually only 5 years away from the finish line, or are you saying you want to pull this whole thing off in just 5 years from today? I won't pry into the specifics since everyone's situation is different, but when you mention "...saving..." it really piques my curiosity... because honestly, I haven't seen anyone reach FI just by putting cash under a mattress. Kudos to you for the investing part, though.
Just so we're on the same page, when I say financial independence, I mean having enough passive income that you can actually walk away from the grind entirely... just so there's no misunderstanding...
