I was watching some international match highlights last night, and man, it really hit me how much of a mismatch things can get lately. It’s one thing to lose a close game where you just get outplayed in the clutch, but it’s another thing entirely when one side looks like they belong to a different dimension of athleticism and coordination.

It’s honestly a bit demoralizing to watch. You see these teams put in months of training, build up this massive hype, and then get absolutely dismantled in a matter of minutes. It makes me wonder if the current systems for developing talent are actually working, or if the "super teams" are just vacuuming up all the skill, leaving everyone else to fight for scraps.

I love the underdog stories, but at a certain point, doesn't a massive blowout like that just feel hollow for the fans? It’s hard to stay invested when the outcome feels scripted because of the sheer skill gap.

Do you guys think we need more frequent international competition to help close these gaps, or is the level of play just naturally diverging too much to fix?

So, Eric Wells3 is standing there in front of the mirror, while his girlfriend is lying in bed impatiently waiting for things to get moving, and he suddenly gets this urge to start reciting some Hegelian philosophy. He gives himself this smug little look in the glass after finishing his little speech and says:

And then his girlfriend, looking pretty frustrated, pipes up from the bed:

So, I tried to project Mljacko's junk onto the screen, but I guess nothing's actually showing up.

I'm pretty much a newcomer here, even though I guess I've been around the Forum for quite a while now. 🤣

Man, why are you getting jealous so fast? I guess you should probably just put the books away and stop acting so smart, maybe just crank up some classic rock and drive around town instead. Once you've blasted enough blues and spent enough nights passed out at a local dive bar, then maybe you'll be ready for a real woman.

And honestly, I wouldn't mention being a philosopher to them either, because I'm pretty sure intellectuals have never really had much luck with the ladies.
