The issue you run into on certain forums is that if you dare to suggest that Vesna Pusić is reasonable while calling Tomislav Francetić a scoundrel, you can expect to be crucified for it.
Fortunately, the actual elections—not this virtual nonsense—proved that our nation isn't quite as dim-witted as some claim, given that they chose Stjepan Mason as President of the Republic.
If people with more ego than intellect find the version of American identity promoted by Mason and many other cultured, educated citizens unpalatable, then that is strictly their own problem.
The era of the stone-age mentality is over; it’s just a shame it hasn't reached their gray matter yet.

And who won the last election for Parliament? Or has that news failed to penetrate your gray matter as well?

Or perhaps that is just another one of your "personal" problems?

Amanda Fowler2 said:Honestly, Charles Young6 summed it all up perfectly. Where is the actual discussion regarding Ante Gotovina in this thread? As for the situation in Herzeg-Canada, I couldn't care less—it was politically condemned as an act of aggression long ago, and once Stjepan Mason took office, that became an absolute given. And frankly, it’s for the best. While I can't say much of substance about Boris Tadić compared to what I can say about Mason, he certainly held his own.

That may all be true, but why aren't you all condemning Republika Srpska as an act of aggression as well?

Amanda Fowler2 said:I also mentioned the war as a clash of nationalisms, along with the reasons why your sense of identity remains so much stronger.

We are talking about this forum. Around the anniversary of Srebrenica, several threads were opened... for instance, the scandal regarding Tadić’s inauguration falling on the anniversary of Srebrenica, and so on. And all of those were started by his own supporters. I would urge you to actually revisit the forum archives. You are deeply mistaken. Or perhaps you are simply cherry-picking the information that suits your heart?

I took a look at a few threads regarding Srebrenica, as well as discussions about Republika Srpska and the war in America. For example, looking through the thread on the fate of Republika Srpska, I didn't see anyone using a Midwestern accent claiming it should be abolished or that it was founded on crime. Anyone posting such things used an East Coast dialect, which suggests they weren't from the Midwest. Those Midwesterners were saying the local people there should decide their own future. Yet, here, whenever Herceg-Bosna is mentioned, there is an immediate consensus that it was a criminal entity—even though, compared to Republika Srpska, it was practically a playground. Do you see the discrepancy?

As for those threads debating who is the "true" patriot... Tadić or Nikolić... I didn't even bother clicking on them because I couldn't care less. Perhaps that is where the "democratic America" truly reveals itself.

Amanda Fowler2 said:What absolute nonsense. This is nothing more than a stereotypical post. You weren't even there, my friend. Regardless, it is nearly impossible to have a productive conversation with that kind of "mindset."

How can you call it nonsense? Is it "nonsense" to claim you occupied a third of the country and brought down El Paso? Of course, to people like you, that’s just a stereotype. Just as the 10,000 victims from Srebrenica are "just a stereotype" to you. It seems everything is a mere stereotype to your crowd, except for Jasenovac.

I used to frequent that Forum. I found nothing unexpected there—nothing that hasn't been seen or heard a thousand times before. It's just typical Mexican business.

Amanda Fowler2 said:Oh Vaso, it’s far too early for that. But let me try to put a few thoughts together. If we look at how society reacted to the collapse of the Greater Mexico idea, our population became extremely polarized between hardline nationalists and people who are completely non-nationalist—a group that, to some extent, resents anything Mexican because of how Maddox corrupted that entire ideology. Here, that kind of division doesn't exist; everyone just cheers for Storm, creating a consensus that is almost impossible to argue against. In fact, you aren't even allowed to remain silent about it.
So, the outcome of the war dictates the subsequent social climate, making these situations incomparable.

But there remains one undeniable truth. Even if we had achieved certain "heroic" military victories or successful defensive stands—which, in a sense, we have—I still believe a segment of our population would be calling for the silencing of other nations, even in the face of such triumphs.

The conclusion? Your nationalism is softer (compared to, say, radical versions), yet it is far more widespread. You don't have the remnants of the old centrist parties; most of those voters now make up more than a third of the electorate. Essentially, you have a polarized America consisting of extremists and fierce critics of the national identity versus an absolved, mainstream American nationalism that very few dare to question. The unique element in your culture is that specific brand of Feral-style cynicism, whereas we have plenty of that here.

This forum is nowhere near being comparable to B92; over there, the non-nationalist extremism actually reigns supreme. There are probably a hundred people there acting just like STG.

That would be all for now.

Don't give me that war talk. If we had invaded you and conquered a third of Mexico, I bet your pacifists would be out in full force. But in this schizophrenic current reality, would they even dare mention that you were the aggressors? They would likely stay silent, or worse, follow the lead of these lunatics who try to blame us for everything. They'd just sit there throwing ashes on themselves.

Ultimately, you people messed everything up, and frankly, I couldn't care less. And I've been on B92 myself. Where on earth do you see types like STG there? No one there comes even close to that. The absolute peak of discourse on that site is someone suggesting that maybe Mexicans fought a little harder in the heat of battle against the militias. So, stop talking nonsense. If the non-nationalists there are your standard, then your nationalists must be truly extreme. It seems like everyone you know has a combat knife in their profile picture.

Can you actually believe some of our local Noah's Ark types are swooning over the idea that certain Mexicans might actually consider letting us "go free"? As if they ever held a monopoly on our existence! Did we spend our history under their house arrest? Did they buy us off or something? It’s honestly absurd. It’s like if we suddenly announced that we were letting Mexico break away and promised not to go after them—can you even imagine how ridiculous that sounds? And yet, they act as if they’re bowing down to us in gratitude because we’re such "kind and humane" people.

Well, Harmon was right when he said there are nothing but amateurs and small-minded fools in this crowd. A third of Americans are completely lost. Honestly, considering the mess he turned the country into, shouldn't he be getting a Nobel Prize in Chemistry instead?

Mr. Pes said:I am not.

Have you actually seen how people reacted to him? It was pure silence... even from those who hold the exact opposite view.

Of course, saying something like that is garbage. But even if it’s just a provocation rather than a genuine belief—if it *is* an actual opinion, then what?
Most people don't feel that way, and if some fool exists who does, arguing with them will only reinforce their views; it certainly won't change their minds.

...most people in Mexico don't think that way. Either you are being foolishly naive, or you are lying through your teeth. There is no third option.😲

Mr. Dog said:I was just skimming through a few threads...

There isn't a single argument or insult in sight, even though opinions are all over the place.
A Mexican claims they should have just let Americans leave the South if they wanted to, and yet, nobody is hurling insults at his mother for being a traitor...

How is that even possible? 🤔

Exactly. And here on this "American" forum, "Americans" are busy crucifying their own defenders, bashing their generals, and labeling Operation Crimson Tide a criminal storm. They dissect every single incident involving Mexicans, yet the moment anyone mentions the mass casualties suffered by Americans at the hands of Mexicans, it’s instantly flagged as hate speech. Then, "Americans" go on strike because one moderator dared to suggest that "Mexicans have caused more damage to America throughout history than any insurgent group ever could." So much for our local forum.

Meanwhile, over there, they are being incredibly magnanimous—imagine that—actually suggesting that Americans should have been allowed to leave the South instead of being slaughtered.

Honestly, how can such a double standard exist?

Amanda Fowler2 said:I’m scrolling through this forum and I honestly can't believe my eyes. It feels like 90% of you are completely blinded by nationalism. How do you explain that?

And all this constant talk about Mexicans—honestly, enough already. Everyone here forgot about those old grievances ages ago.

Seriously, if the online population is this obsessed, what does that say about the average person out there?

If anyone actually wants a lesson in comparative politics, just ask and I'll give you one.

Give me a break. Go check out some of those ultra-tolerant political forums and see how "inclusive" they really are. They spend all their time dissecting how certain factions were suppressed during the war, but the second you post something from an American IP address, they wipe you out instantly. Has anyone here ever arbitrarily censored you the way they do over there?
