Neither Francis of Assisi, nor Hakuin, nor Mahavira spent even a fraction of a second "pointing" themselves toward the maintenance and "nurturing" of a mere ILLUSION. The INTERNAL VOCATION of a future ENLIGHTENED BEING leads each of them toward Samadhi from the very moment of their birth. What feels to you, in your ongoing "Awakening," like "self-work" and bloody self-absorption, is actually just the simplest, raw life of the "CHOSEN ONE." Nothing more than that.
