Sorry, but you’re seriously taking me way too literally again.
That’s just how it goes in a room—if someone admits something, people let it slide, and honestly, it’s got nothing to do with politics!
I don't even know who this Shapiro !!! person is...
My only other option would be to stay quiet about anything I haven't fully researched, but I'm just here to have some fun, read what everyone else thinks, maybe pick up a little political knowledge along the way, not to prep for a debate against professionals (which isn't my vibe anyway).
Sorry if you took that the wrong way!
I've been living abroad since I was 18, so I'm really not interested in any drama or fighting...😕

Look, we aren't even talking about how people look, right? We're talking about who counts as a "true" Miami resident, or someone from New York, or Chicago... isn't that the point?
To me, a "true" local is basically anyone whose parents—or maybe even their grandparents—were born right there. Everyone else is just a "resident"...

😍
papa štrumf said:Wait, did he actually walk away with 25 salaries as severance? I always thought in Germany, if you get laid off, you just get one month's pay for every year you were there...

Usually, you get severance based on how many years you put in, which typically ranges from
about 2 months up to 12 months of pay if you've been grinding at the "same" company for 25 years...
On that thread about how AT&T is laying people off here in the US and giving out over $67 in severance for just 11 years of service, someone from Phoenix totally chewed me out. I got a bit heated and said there's no way anyone gets that kind of money elsewhere, since that's basically like getting paid for 4 whole years!
That kind of deal is unheard of anywhere else, but it actually happened right here in America to a 34-year-old with an 11-year tenure...
😕
