Has anyone else (unluckily) dealt with this kind of thing, and how do you actually manage it? I’m not talking about those weird little quirks that pop up once in a blue moon under specific circumstances; I mean the stuff that’s just... there. The daily grind of compulsions that feel like a permanent part of your life.
For me, it’s specifically this whole obsessive hand-washing thing.
Honestly, most people have some sort of OCD-adjacent habit, whether it's dialed up or just playing in the background. It happens even when you aren't trying to make it happen. Since we're basically just biological machines running on certain hardware and software, it's kind of baked in.🙂 Don't sweat it too much.
