How to master lucid dreaming? in Psychology ·
I’ve always had frequent Lucid dreams, though I never really thought much of them at the time. Sometimes, honestly, it felt a bit tedious because I felt pressured to invent a plot instead of just letting things unfold naturally. Then, after doing some reading here and there, it clicked: this is actually an incredible opportunity. We spend about a third of our lives asleep; if you can achieve lucidity during that time, you can essentially do anything you can imagine. It’s like being a wizard in your actual life, wouldn't you agree 🙂
That said, even when I'm aware it's a dream during a nightmare, I don't always manage to take control of the situation. I've read that nightmares are essentially our subconscious—or whatever term you prefer to use for it—trying to communicate something to us. My nightmares usually take place at my grandmother's house, which is actually a place where I always feel perfectly safe. In one instance, I'm dreaming I'm out in the backyard and I want to head inside, but suddenly this pale, blueish entity—like some sort of demon or sprite—is standing there screaming. My first instinct is fear; I turn around to run away. But then I tell myself, "This is your dream, you are in charge, and nothing can hurt you." I approach her bravely and ask, "What is it you want to tell me?" Instead of answering, she lunges toward my face and screams even louder, snapping me wide awake. I was so frustrated—instead of relaxing on a beach, I'm wrestling with demons 🤣
So, does anyone have any advice on how to achieve better dream control?

Does anyone here have any firsthand experience dealing with binge eating disorder? I wasn't sure if this topic had been brought up on the forum before, but I simply couldn't face scrolling through twenty-odd pages of previous posts to find out. 😵
