OCD: General Discussion Thread in Psychology & Therapy ·
Just like I told my partner, I’ll say it here too: OCD is something a lot of us carry within us; the only real difference is how we choose to manage it.
He was diagnosed about four years ago, and he’s been consistent with his medication ever since.
My only real concern is the idea of taking those pills every single day, though he seems perfectly content as long as they're doing the trick. I haven't actually noticed any typical OCD symptoms from him personally—we met after he had already started his treatment—and honestly, he isn't any more "unusual" than my exes 🤣 than anyone else; if anything, he's the best 😍
The only thing is, there are certain topics where I have to answer him a hundred times over, and he admits to feeling a bit of nervous energy every now and then (but hey, who doesn't?).
So, this is me, just living my life happily alongside him and his quirks...
