Karen Sanchez19 said:True, pure love doesn't have a "you" or an "me." Any kind of love where there's a subject and an object is just possessive... it's ego-driven, just feeding your own consciousness..

So you're saying it's basically the same feeling?
Karen Sanchez19 said:Love is just love, but I wouldn't even call this other thing "love"—it's more like the Absolute.

Yeah, honestly, calling it the Absolute makes way more sense since you can't really pin down a definition for the Absolute anyway.😁 🙂

and your run-of-the-mill, classic "love."🙂

Hmm. So what’s the actual catch there? Besides just changing who or what you're actually aiming that feeling at.

Enchantress said:They always push this whole narrative that humans are "social animals," right? Like, hanging out with other people is supposed to be this soul-enriching, life-affirming, deeply fulfilling experience that makes you a better person or whatever. 😛 😉 🙂

But honestly, that all depends entirely on who you're actually dealing with. 😁

Basically, it’s because we never actually *do* anything when we hang out at some bar or whatever, and if by some miracle we actually do manage to make a plan, we just end up screwing over everyone else in the world...

I don't really get the point of "hanging out," chatting, or calling people just to talk, you know? It’s all just noise without any actual purpose. 🤔

🥳

Look, I know you actually care about them, but you're just too stubborn to admit it. 🙂

Anyone here actually making some real friends?
Do you guys even like them?

Maybe go get a stronger prescription for your glasses. 😲 😁

Yeah. 🙂
It’s basically the same thing as loving one specific person (and I’m not talking about that crazy, obsessive, "I need to own you" kind of infatuation, either).
David Miller15 hit the nail on the head—love is the thing that actually makes it happen. 🙏
