I might as well copy this because I'm in the exact same boat, just in a different spot...

I'm looking for a primary care doctor where you can make an appointment, someone who loves what they do, greets you when you arrive (🙂), listens, offers advice, won't refuse a referral or prescription if it's necessary, and reviews your files... basically just a decent, reliable doctor in the San Diego area—it's URGENT!

I'm looking for a good Medicare Dentist in San Francisco. I'm honestly terrified of dentists, but I can't afford to go to a private practice right now.

Thanks

I guess I couldn't tell you if I tried because I don't know her last name, but she works over on Vukovar Street and her name is George!

I have two questions. 😁
I'm currently studying in San Francisco, and I urgently need to see a primary care doctor, but I don't know which one to pick. I haven't officially registered anywhere yet, nor have I transferred my medical records to San Francisco (or whatever the process is). Who is a decent primary care doctor in San Francisco, and how does the registration process actually work?

Also, I could use a recommendation for a good dermatologist in San Francisco (or maybe Opatija area)

Thanks!

For primary care, Dr. Lydia Primorac at Fiorella la Guardia is great; she was my student doctor back in the day and ended up being my family doctor too. She's a wonderful woman—not just for general practice, but a fantastic psychologist as well.

Honestly, I kind of regret moving away from San Francisco just because of those two women.👍

Kosanovic has a contract with Medicare so you can go for an exam using a referral, though I'm not entirely sure about Adler.

Ugh, just seeing the name Kosanovic makes my stomach turn. I dealt with a brutal case of demodex that she didn't even recognize or bother testing for, even after I went to see her countless times. She kept swapping out my meds and creams like I was some kind of lab rat or something. In the end, she actually told me I should probably see a psychiatrist and take something for my nerves because nothing was wrong, meanwhile my face and neck were a total disaster!
So I ended up going to the Regional Hospital in San Francisco; Adler was on duty then, and she looked at my neck and said, "this is a textbook case of demodex," but insisted we run a test anyway, which confirmed it.

Kosanovic is such an old, delusional woman that I would NEVER step foot in her clinic again. Later, I took Irene's results back to her and basically told her she should be ashamed of her medical degree... since it never even crossed her mind that it could be demodex, it was like we were playing charades or something.👎

My advice—avoid Kosanovic at all costs! 👎

I mean, you can totally open an account whenever you want, regardless of whether you actually have a steady paycheck or not.

The whole point isn't about opening a bank account; it's about getting an American Express or a Diners Club card. And I guess you aren't going to get one of those without regular income, unless someone else in the family gets approved—like a parent or something—and then he becomes an authorized user.

Edit: I might have jumped the gun there, I didn't read all the posts. My bad, wiredranger30!

Amy Cooper51 said:What do those tiny red dots on the body mean? They look like birthmarks but they're bright cherry red...?
thanks!
also if anyone knows about depigmentation... little white patches on the skin,,, can you stop it from happening

Regarding the first thing, I guess you already got an answer, people usually just call them "cherry angiomas," but they basically come from broken capillaries, and what's weird is they don't go away and just pop up all over the place.

As for the small white spots, if they look like little dots, they're probably 99% fungal. It likely just stripped your pigment, so maybe just grab some Lamisil and apply it constantly. If you use it 2 or 3 times a day, it should clear up in about 2 months. Vitiligo is way more serious and incurable, so I wouldn't worry about that, since it doesn't usually show up as tiny little dots but rather larger, irregular patches.
