So, I’ve never actually owned a credit card before. Up until now, I’ve just been using my basic debit card for whatever hits my checking account when my paycheck clears.
But lately, it’s happened a few times where I’m trying to buy something online—like a flight, some random stuff on eBay, or even topping up an E-ZPass—and they won't accept anything but a credit card. It’s honestly such a headache and leaves me feeling totally stuck.
I’m trying to figure out which kind of card would actually fit my vibe. To be real with you guys, I’m not looking to spend money I don't have, and I definitely want to avoid getting buried in interest. I’m not looking for a way to live in a constant state of debt, and I couldn't care less about installment plans or those "buy now, pay later" gimmicks.
I just want a way to pay for things that require a credit card instead of just using cash or debit.
What should I go for?
