Best online payment cards? in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
Charles Clark9 said:I had the exact same headache when I tried using my card through Chase; even though my local branch gave me the all-clear and told me everything was good to go. But then I headed over to Wells Fargo, grabbed that same card, and suddenly it worked perfectly fine without any issues. (Specifically, I’m talking about using it on the BetMGM site).
So, it's clearly not an issue on their end. 🤷
And honestly, you might just be running a bit low on funds, because if you try to deposit right up to the limit, it won't clear since most banks require you to leave a little cushion in the account. 😁

I'm running into the same thing with my Bank of America account, so could you tell me how much the bank actually requires to be left in the balance? Because, well... I might have deposited just the absolute minimum... maybe 10-$$5.00 more....

One went through via Visa and the other was on a Mastercard.
Maybe you're just typing in the wrong digits? It took me a minute to figure out which specific numbers they were actually looking for.
The second your bank sends you a notification that the transaction was declined, you really should just give them a call and ask why they're blocking it.
Maybe check with your aunt or something to see where all those different numbers are located on the form online.

Thanks for the input, I guess, but look, I'm not some ten-year-old kid who doesn't understand which numbers are supposed to go into a form, and like I already mentioned, those idiots at the bank are completely clueless; I'm done wasting my breath calling them because I've already burned through way too much energy dealing with their nonsense.....

If anyone else happens to have a concrete answer to the questions I asked above, I would be incredibly grateful... cheers.....

Man, I really just wanted this thing to actually work instead of having to ask everyone here... but this is what pops up on my screen whenever I punch in those two numbers...

''Your transaction has been declined by the credit/debit card issuing bank. You can try to:
a. use another debit/credit card
b. use the Back button at the bottom of this page and select to pay with Amazon Checkout, using your PayPal account
c. call Our Sales Department to discuss alternative means of payment.''

Look, I don't think you quite caught my drift... what I’m actually looking for is a specific type of payment method where, say, I could walk into a local bank branch, deposit some cash directly into my account, and then just use those funds to pay for stuff online without any hiccups. It isn't really about the domain itself; the issue lies in a whole host of other logistical headaches... things like paying for ad campaigns, covering hosting fees, buying various goods, and just as importantly, being able to actually receive payouts from Google marketing or from selling products. You see what I mean? I need an account where the money I deposit can be used both online and in the real world—meaning I should be able to just hit up an ATM, pull out the cash, and go about my day. I'm hoping that makes my question a bit clearer now. Thanks!

So, I’ve got a few questions regarding online payments:
1. I have this Visa Electron chip card (this one http://www.chase.com/personal/debit-credit/visa-electron...kcija=&jezik=1
), and I'm wondering if I can actually use it for online purchases. If I can, how does it work? Do I need some kind of specialized card reader, or is it simpler than that? Specifically, I need to pay for a domain name. The folks at my bank told me it works perfectly fine for online stuff and that I don't need any extra hardware—just those two numbers on the front of the card...
2. Now, if this specific card isn't up to the task, what should I be using instead? What’s the most cost-effective and straightforward way to pay for things online without needing a card reader? Honestly, I find it hard to believe the staff at my local branch or even the customer service reps at the call center don't have a clue about this; it’s been an absolute nightmare and I've lost so much patience dealing with them.
3. Also, what is generally considered the best, cheapest, and easiest method for both making online payments and receiving money from the internet?

I’m really hoping to get some concrete, detailed answers here, because I am seriously at my wit's end. I honestly question who they’re hiring at these banks; I wouldn't trust them to watch sheep, let alone handle finances. They try to sell you products, but they seemingly have no idea how they actually function or what they're even for... Nobody seems able to give me a clear, thorough explanation....

Thanks in advance to everyone for the help.... Best regards!
