Who knows—it's a total mystery.
That was my answer from JPMorgan Chase, along with them telling me you can't even make a deposit into that account at a branch unless you're already a customer.

Meanwhile, everyone's giving me different stories. Some say they did it through online banking without a hitch, others claim it's impossible, and some got slapped with a massive fee just for trying... so yeah.

Payments toward an account are processed via order 14 (foreign currency credit). If you're transferring directly from a JPMorgan Chase account, the fee is $10.

If you don't have any transaction history yet, just message support and ask them to switch it for you.

If you already have transactions in there, you might as well bang your head against a wall.🙂
Your only option is to close the Wells Fargo account and open a new one. Just a heads-up though—if you linked your bank accounts or credit cards to the old profile, you won't be able to reuse them with the new one until the system clears the old data.

Just trying to save everyone a massive headache dealing with Wells Fargo support.

Their currency settings suck.
