If I were you, I’d just take a little stroll through the web, hunt down some local badminton clubs, and maybe even drop by in person to ask around. I’m quite certain someone there would be more than happy to point you in the right direction once you actually show up.

Just to give you a head start, here are the first two results Google tossed my way:

http://www.usabadminton.com/

I have no doubt you'll find folks there who can give you the real scoop.

Look, Google is fine and all, and believe me, I’ve already done my due diligence browsing the sites... but what I'm really after is that firsthand insight from the people actually out there on the court—you know, the ones who live and breathe badminton training every single day.😍

Greetings everyone, I find myself wandering through a few questions today and am truly hoping some kind soul might be willing to steer me in the right direction...

I was wondering, is there a circuit here in the States or perhaps in nearby North America—specifically within the US—where recreational players can actually sign up for tournaments? How frequently do these types of events take place? And honestly, if one were to set their mind to it, how much time would it realistically take to climb the ladder toward a "pro" level? Is there an age limit, per se, where you can no longer compete at a high level under a professional coach? Also, if I wanted to join a league here in the US, would I be required to be a registered member of a specific club first?

I'm actually putting together a little report for my physical education class, so if anyone wouldn't mind giving me a bit of a rundown on what the professional badminton scene looks like here in America, I’d be incredibly grateful 😉

If you actually want to play at a professional level, it takes way more than just basic knowledge; it requires an insane amount of practice.

Take this guy, for instance—someone who has never even picked up a club in his life:

Do I really need to join some fancy private club just to take one of those qualifying tests? And can I actually go solo, without being part of some established squad, to compete in tournaments? Is there even any prize money or anything worth chasing at these events?

Greetings to everyone here; I’m looking to dive into the conversation on this forum because I find myself with quite a few burning questions 😉

I was wondering if anyone in this community approaches the PGA Tour on a more professional level? To be specific, I am trying to wrap my head around how the tournament circuit and the various leagues actually function here in the States and across the rest of the US?

Up until this point, my athletic life has been centered around team sports, but I’ve reached a stage where I want to pivot toward an individual pursuit... I haven't quite locked in my final decision yet, though the PGA Tour remains firmly at the top of my list of contenders 😉

Before I go out and start dropping serious cash on high-end gear and really committing myself to the grind, I wanted to pick your brains on a few other things, and I truly hope someone might be willing to share some insight. Is it actually feasible to find success in this sport? Is it realistic to expect to be winning smaller local tournaments within a single year? What is the landscape like regarding tournament structures and prize money here in the US? Can one realistically reach a professional tier where the sport becomes a primary source of income? How much training time should I be looking at on a weekly basis? Furthermore, is it even possible to set up a decent practice range on a bit of extra acreage back at one's own house? And just generally speaking, what kind of investment are we talking about versus the potential returns in this game?

haha... I didn't actually write that part myself... it was just a quick copy-paste job 😁

so, really, one little typo in a two-hundred-word stretch isn't such a huge deal, is it? 🤣
It almost feels like my brain is playing tricks on me when I try to read certain words. You find yourself shouting at the sheer stubbornness of the human mind, getting frustrated by those pesky little typos that somehow don't matter because, in the end, the letters are all still right where they belong.

The words could be in a total mess, yet despite how chaotic it looks, you can still read them without breaking a sweat. Why is that? It’s because our brains don't actually process every single letter individually; instead, we perceive entire patterns as complete units. This little mental quirk is known as Typoglycemia.

I wonder, though—who else still finds themselves obsessed with perfect grammar and spelling?
Best online payment cards? in Banking, Insurance & Loans ·
I'm looking to set up a bank account pretty soon so I can finally get serious about shopping on eBay and similar sites, receiving payments from some overseas companies, and getting my card linked up with PayPal and all that sort of thing.

So, I have a few questions to toss out there: which bank should I be looking at?
What kind of account am I actually looking for—is it a standard checking account, or something more specialized?
And what about the card itself? I was weighing my options between a Hypo debit card or maybe just a standard Visa.
Do I really need to bother setting up online banking, and is it worth getting one of those little POS terminals or whatever they call them?
Also, does anyone know where the maintenance fees are the lowest among the big players like JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, or Hypo?

I do hope I haven't posted this in the wrong corner of the forum, but I'm really hoping someone can point me in the right direction here. 😍
