Hey everyone, quick question
It’s been quite a while since I’ve seen any of you guys posting around here, so I was wondering about something
I’ve got a standard Mastercard with a credit limit of $1167
What I’m trying to figure out is whether it works the same way as Maestro when it comes to installment plans
Basically, if my total limit is set at a certain amount, does that mean I can buy anything up to that specific price point, or
If my limit on the Mastercard is $1167, can I buy something worth, say, $1667, where the largest monthly installment would be $1167?
Hey there!
I’m currently in the middle of building a custom go-kart, but I’ve hit a bit of a snag regarding the rear axle.
I’m using some wheels from an old TaoTao quad, and my plan for the axle is to use a heavy-duty thick-walled pipe, then slide the original TaoTao axle sleeve right inside that pipe to reinforce it.

What I'm trying to figure out is where I can actually pick something like this up, or even what the technical term is so I can hunt for one on Craigslist or somewhere similar.
Thanks!
You guys aren't ready for this beast

...if we all had an uncle like that... lol... I actually have one right in my family...🙏 🙂
...man...get this... my uncle just bought me an NVIDIA GTX 580... lol... I have no clue what I'm even going to do with it...
Here is what I was thinking about picking up to go with it...
ASROCK B85 Extreme3, Intel B85/SB850, DDR3, audio, S-ATA, RAID, G-LAN, SLI, PCI-E, USB 3.0, ATX, AM3 socket
Phenom II X6 1055T Processor (2.8GHz, 9MB, 125W) box
700W Xilence Gaming Edition Power Supply, ATX 2.2, active PFC, 1×PCIe, 4×SATA, 20+4-pin, 135mm fan

64GB ADATA SSD, S599, 2.5" SATA (for macOS)
Thermaltake Element G Case
Corsair 8GB, 2x4GB, DDR3, 1600MHz 8GB 2x240 Dimm, Unbuffered, 9-9-9-24, CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9
...xD... I'm probably gonna have the best rig ever... haha
My uncle is covering half the cost and my parents are chipping in for the rest...😁
So, I told him straight up that I wanted either a Radeon HD 5770 or a Radeon HD 5870, but now he’s telling me he’s only willing to drop about $300 to $400 on a card... man, at this rate, I'm basically looking at rebuilding the whole rig from scratch. xD
I’m thinking about picking up a new power supply unit today... I was just browsing through some options online and saw this one: a 700 W EVGA Gaming Edition, ATX 2.2, featuring active PFC, 1×PCIe, 4×SATA, a 20+4-pin connector, and a 135mm fan $193

I was originally thinking about picking up a quad-core processor for an AM2+ socket, but it looks like they've pretty much vanished from the market now.
So, for instance... do you think I could get away with using an ATI Radeon HD 5870? (Though I know the GeForce GTX 460 is a beast). Also, what kind of FPS would I realistically be looking at with the 5870 if I'm running Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare at 1600x1200 with all the settings cranked to the max?
So, here’s the situation...
My current setup is an ASRock A770CrossFire motherboard
running an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.67GHz
with 7GB of DDR2 RAM
paired with an ATI Radeon HD 3650 512MB card
and a 250GB Maxtor SATA hard drive
on Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit
powered by a 500W power supply, though I'm not entirely sure of the exact model
My uncle is working over in Germany right now and he told me he'd pick up whatever graphics card I want, as long as it stays under $350. For example, he mentioned seeing a Radeon HD 5870 there for about $180.
The big question is... which card should I have him grab considering my current power supply? Or, if my PSU just won't cut it for a better card, would it make more sense to have him pick out a new motherboard and processor instead?
Thanks!
