Walter Myers4 said:So, what kind of wild fantasies are we actually talking about here?🙄

Just read it and you'll see... I doubt you'll be totally shocked, but compared to women, they’re definitely more twisted 😉 ...assuming Secret Garden is actually authentic... though the real question is just how open women were back then... hmmm
Walter Myers4 said:Why so perverse? Give us more details.😁

Look, Secret Garden is all about female fantasies, whereas this stuff hits on male ones... and honestly, they feel pretty original, at least from where I’m sitting. Personally, I found everything I was looking for.😁

By the way, I nearly fell asleep halfway through Secret Garden out of pure boredom. You women are just too innocent for your own good.😁
Walter Myers4 said:Look, it’s just a collection of "true confessions" from women about their sexual fantasies, written by some woman who calls herself a sexologist... honestly, none of that really matters. I actually dig the subject matter, and the topic was set up well enough.👍

Yeah, as long as we don't get too carried away in the comments... though you should probably check out Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus by the same author; it's actually a bit better 😉 ...anyway, the author spends the entire introduction complaining about how perverse men are.😁 😁
Tinch said:So you decided to show up here 👍
Bravo!
Don't expect anyone to take you seriously on this forum 😁

Whatever, I was getting bored anyway.😁
Walter Myers4 said:And then what? Where exactly are you heading with this?😁

I’m leaning toward simplicity.🥳
Walter Myers4 said:restlessmarlin6, that book Benjamin Price is quoting is basically just some cheap tabloid filled with female sexual fantasies (the title pretty much gives it away) and it has zero actual connection to Freud. Look, you don't have to cling to the opening post like a life raft and just spit venom at Freud. Instead, maybe consider if you were ever actually envious of a friend's anatomy... personally, I know I was during some childhood games, and I find it interesting to reflect on and discuss. I don't see any shame or issue in that.😉

But that book was actually written under the influence of Freudian psychologists... women back then would consult with the "professionals," and we're talking about the seventies here.
Walter Myers4 said:I wouldn't know about women—I haven't tried it myself. Honestly, I don't think I ever will; feels more like just a temporary phase on the road to actually growing up.😎

Where exactly are you headed with this quest for sexual perfection? 😛 😁
restlessmarlin6 said:I also happened to catch your other thread over in the General Discussion section. It’s pretty funny seeing how much you're obsessed with these kinds of topics.

To be honest, there are definitely things I find interesting—like the Oedipus complex—but this specific theory just feels weirdly off. That’s exactly why it caught my eye; I want to dig into it a bit more and see where it leads. 😁
Walter Myers4 said:I’m curious if there are many guys out there who dream about being beaten up by women... and if there are women who fantasize about shaving their guy's head?🙄

Well, I'm sure it happens just as often as it does for homo folks... so yeah, pull yourself together.
Walter Myers4 said:You want me to say I’d have to go around punching guys? Give me a break.😉

P.S. Aren't you one of those "sensitive types" too? Come on, spill your fantasies.😎

Why bother with guys when you've got women?😉

And no, I'm not that type. Not that I'd ever admit to being one.😁
Walter Myers4 said:What do you mean by that??😁

Look, you mentioned before that you carry yourself with a certain masculine energy, and that more "feminine" women are drawn to you—those types of women, specifically. So, I don't know. Maybe you just aren't your average woman.😁
Tichy said:To me, Jung is one of the most fascinating historical figures. His work really rounds out and expands my own thinking. 🙂 It opens up new paths for further development.

The point isn't just to collect everything from a specific theory and take it as gospel. The whole idea is that certain theories should trigger your own independent thought.
I’m not personally convinced that collective consciousness exists, and I’m just as skeptical about the Oedipus and Electrin complexes. The only difference is that, right now, Jung offers more meaningful and well-argued theories, though that doesn't mean my opinion won't change down the line.

Alright, alright, I'm drifting off-topic here, sorry 🙂

Freud lived in an era when women were socially subordinate to men, so that entire premise—that WOMEN HAVE ANYTHING TO ENVY MEN FOR—stems directly from that social context.

OK 🙂, if we set Freud aside for a second—why would a woman biologically feel an urge to be male? In fact, if we're following that logic to its conclusion, there are some arguments suggesting men are actually redundant (which, in my view, are total nonsense 😵 )
Women could theoretically carry on the species themselves. 🙂 We can debate that too.

Okay, okay, and finally, if we move away from the topic entirely—do you have any SEXUAL problems? 😁

👋

I think Jung's theories are fine, but the guy honestly talks some nonsense sometimes... I mean, before I heard the full theory on the subconscious, I thought it was pure genius... I still think it's okay, but now that I've heard all the details, I'm a bit more skeptical.

Regarding the Oedipus complex, I know that toward the end of his career, Freud admitted it might actually involve some natural instincts... so he didn't always attribute everything to family dynamics... besides, he dealt with stereotypes and knew how easily he could be wrong.

And why would a woman want to be male? We aren't that different... who knows what our brains are actually like or how everything is wired together, which instincts we share versus which ones are sex-specific... so maybe there's something to it.
Natch said:just the smart ones... others might be there, they just haven't realized it yet😁

from what I can tell, it sounds like you're having some issues with sex too😁...maybe consider if you've just been forced into a role that doesn't actually fit who you are
frozenangler9 said:Don't waste your energy on that theory. It doesn't amount to much besides proving that Mr. Freud had a pretty shaky grasp on female sexuality. Not exactly surprising given the era, though. 🙂

I mean, sure, he probably missed the mark on a lot of things, but I still get the feeling his work isn't entirely without merit.
Walter Myers4 said:I’m not entirely sure how this all connects, but looking back at my childhood, I was constantly trying to be masculine. I used to push guys to prove what they actually had going for them... I just refused to accept some silly, traditional female role, if you know what I mean. I'd ask them, "Would you ever want to be a woman?" It's like you spend your whole life fighting against yourself until you finally accept your biology and realize you can't escape who you are. Then, eventually, you start looking for the upside to being in that position—and you realize the answer might just lie in sex... specifically, realizing you can have whatever kind of anatomy you want.👍

Honestly, why should you force yourself to settle for something that doesn't feel natural? Maybe you're just a lesbian😁... or maybe you genuinely want to be "masculine"
... seriously.
I just don't know if every woman out there has gone through the exact same thing you did.
Walter Myers4 said:I’m not even jealous anymore. I’ve finally just accepted that I’m the one getting screwed over, and honestly, it’s not even that bad.👍

But I don't get why women even have to "accept" anything in the first place.🤔 ...does this actually have something to do with the clitoris?😕
frozenangler9 said:Look, wanting a penis is a whole different ballgame. 🙏

It’s about wanting to possess it inside yourself, rather than just having it on you. 😁

And honestly, that craving doesn't usually pop up during early childhood; it hits a bit later on.

😉Freud was just as much of a puritan when it came to women as anyone else.

So basically, he's framing this envy not because women actually want a penis, but because they're supposedly forced to give up the clitoris—which he views as an undeveloped penis, whatever that's supposed to mean... I guess he's trying to say that up to a certain age, women want to be the ones doing the penetrating instead of being penetrated 😁 ....hmm
Look, we aren't actually talking about him... so just bring some actual arguments to the table... and as for Jung, I find him fascinating with all those telepathic delusions regarding the collective unconscious 🙄
