Where did you get the idea that I think science leads to death? That’s not even close to what I meant! If you read a little closer, you'd see my point: "New discoveries are valuable specifically because they open the door to even more discovery." To me, that’s the whole heart of the Socratic idea that "I know that I know nothing." What actually leads to ruin is the belief that we already know everything. History shows us that dictatorships thrive on that exact mindset—they stay in power by cutting people off from information. It makes sense why those regimes tend to be atheistic; the leaders basically want to play God and act like there's no authority higher than them.

Let me clarify: reaching a new realization, discovering or creating something fresh—it brings massive satisfaction. I’d even go as far as calling it a tiny glimpse of the divine. But thinking that what we've discovered proves there's no spiritual side to things is like a kid learning their multiplication tables and suddenly deciding they're a master mathematician...
Basically, new discoveries matter because they open the door to even more discovery. If new findings just filled up a closed loop until everything was "complete," it would be tragic—it would lead to nothingness, to death. Then there's the fact that some people *want* to close that loop and declare something to be the ultimate, final truth. Priests would say that person is just trying to play God, no matter how limited that little "god" actually is...

Spirituality is way more subtle than some math equation, proof, or theorem. If we humans could actually hit that perfect state of harmony—where we’d have total creative power (including making beings that can reach that level too) and know absolutely everything—then we’d basically be God. For now, we're just deluding ourselves into thinking this basic math and science we have can explain the whole world...
