Traffic violation procedures in Criminal and Misdemeanor Law ·

What do you mean "repeatedly ignoring the law"? Who said I support speeding or anything like that? As for what you wrote... wake up, man, and stop repeating the same thing over and over. We all know this stuff. Blah, blah, speeding... blah, blah, appeals... It gets a bit tedious when someone keeps showing up acting like a hero, preaching the same sermon. Do something instead of giving me these pointless replies that have nothing to do with my actual point.

As for the court thing, I'm not surprised at all that they went after me. I actually laughed at the summons, and obviously, I didn't show up. There's also the option of a written defense, since they can't drag you to court for that. I'm talking about my specific case: speeding, but I had no prior violations. That's already been settled via the statute of limitations anyway.
And yeah, there's a difference between driving 60 in a 40 zone on a highway versus doing 60 through a residential neighborhood. But I guess that nuance doesn't fit into your rehearsed logic.☕
You're getting things mixed up and just talking nonsense. I don't go racing through town at night; I don't need high speeds for a thrill. And of course, it bothers me when kids tear through the streets just because they have no other way to show off in their dad's car.

The best part of all this is your comment about "wondering why they won't accept my appeals." 🤣 If you haven't realized—and I suspect you're the only one who hasn't—that was a joke. They can't accept my appeal because there's undeniable evidence 🙂 that I did it, right? Is that why I was bothering with an appeal in the first place? 😉

Later.

To me, seeing five smiley faces made it feel more like mockery than actual humor, just saying...
Well, fine, if that's how you want to take it... but honestly, those constant appeals of yours feel like you're just making a mockery of the entire legal system.

And look, if it’s boring to see "some hero" constantly jumping into the replies of posts like this, then it’s also pretty tedious to watch someone constantly brag about playing fast and loose with the law (and I don't mean just you; my entire post wasn't even directed solely at you).

I’m fully backing up what kruletove said, even if the tone gets a little biting at times...

Regarding Jacob Miller2's comment about how he feels like he's being treated like a criminal just for getting a ticket—wondering why he's being summoned to court or why his appeals aren't being accepted: The reason they're dragging you into court is because you keep ignoring the rules.

Around here, there seems to be this mindset that laws should only apply when they happen to be convenient for us. Of course, in reality, people often complain that "nobody follows the law" or that "the regulations are stupid," which is honestly pretty sad, and I know we've all become somewhat desensitized to it. But you can't break out of that cycle unless every individual makes a genuine effort to set a better example. Sure, not every law is perfect; some are definitely hard to interpret, vague, or even just plain nonsensical, but does that really mean we're better off with total lawlessness?
God forbid you ever find yourself in a situation where you lose a child, much like J.K. Rowling did. In a moment like that, there wouldn't be a John Doe to send complaints to, someone to dodge service of process from, or someone to simply ignore the court summons. And who would she even file an appeal with?
Just something to chew on the next time you find yourself breaking a rule (and let's be honest, it'll probably be tomorrow when you're speeding through a zone and might accidentally hit someone 👎).
