It was such a total masterclass by Fernando Alonso. He basically set up a perfect slipstream for him, then just pulled a quick move and broke away by two seconds. 🙏 🤣
He went for it, but he didn't make the move. He can blame the cold tires and losing grip on the exit all he wants, but honestly? He just didn't go for it.
George Russell could absolutely tear into Carlos Sainz on the hard tires. No mercy. Max Verstappen is likely going to do the exact same thing to him too.
At this point, it’s getting impossible to call these incidents "accidents." We’ve seen way too many crashes this season where they somehow managed to walk away without even flipping the car. Just off the top of my head: Nicholas Latifi, Mick Schumacher, Carlos Sainz, Pierre Gasly... you name it.
James Collins said:I mean, you just gotta be careful, you know? You don't just floor it blindly. Anything under 5 seconds is basically just a circus at this point...
Honestly, they should just kick him out of Formula 1 entirely so you haters can finally get some peaceful sleep.
So, basically, they’re telling Sainz to just elbow his way through, block those Red Bull Racing guys, and call it a day. That’s the race plan. Leclerc is going to pull away and build a massive gap. Perez will step aside immediately to let Verstappen through, and then Max will just scrap with Sainz for second place.
That streak of him wrecking everything in Monaco has got to end somewhere.
