I think Coming out day carries a lot of symbolic weight, and it plays such an essential role in the ongoing process of making our country more democratic.
Iskorak truly shows incredible civic courage, and by taking this step for Coming out day, they’re helping us all build an America that functions as a genuine civil society—one where people don't have to live in fear of being discriminated against for who they are.
Tomorrow, Iskorak will be publishing a list of names in the national newspapers, marking the very first Coming out day in America to honor those who feel ready to publicly share their sexual orientation.
