I just stumbled upon a thread on LinkedIn in a forum about importing from China. The owner of a footwear company—they have retail shops in Chicago—is asking if anyone knows whether shoes imported from China for the US market are labeled "Made in China" or "Made in EU."

You can bring in Ralph Lauren if you’ve got a connection at Customs; otherwise, you're looking at losing the shipment 100%... so yeah, it's possible, but we're in America...
