Importing from China

God!
I feel totally lost in this wilderness... figure that expression out if you can.
Can someone please walk me through how to import stuff from China?
I found a company selling LED lighting at great prices, and I want to grab a few units first to check the quality before committing to a huge shipment.
So, initially, this would just be for my own use, not for reselling.
What does the process look like, and what should I expect?
Feel free to email me too
