PC not detecting graphics card

Hello. I couldn't find an existing thread on this subject, so I am starting a new one. I recently purchased a Newegg graphics card, and I have been dealing with performance issues for several days now. I am becoming increasingly frustrated because I cannot find a solution 🙂. My motherboard is an ASUS ROG Maximus with a PCI Express slot, which should theoretically be compatible, but it isn't working. When I seat the card and connect the monitor, there is no signal, even though I can hear the standard macOS startup sounds. I have attempted various troubleshooting steps, such as connecting the monitor to the integrated graphics to access macOS and install the new drivers, but I keep encountering a "fail to load dlls. please install vga drivers of asus" error message. My BIOS settings are configured correctly. I am at a loss. My old card works perfectly; the only difference is that the old one uses DDR2 while this one uses DDR3. Could that be the issue? The system does not even recognize that the new card is seated in the slot. If anyone has encountered a similar issue or knows how to resolve this, please help 🙂
