Grace Kim80 said:That little line you wrote about princesses isn't an ad.

The rules for the Classifieds section are laid out plain as day in the opening post.
It honestly pains me when people don't bother reading the intro—it just creates extra work for everyone involved, myself included...

Look, I'm sorry, but we aren't going to have a conversation this way.

As it stands, you don't have an active ad posted.

Feel free to make one, provided you actually follow the thread guidelines established in the opening post. Once you've finished the actual ad, you're more than welcome to tack on that sentence about princesses at the very end.

That's all.

This is a forum, after all—maybe there are folks here who just have a creative way of expressing themselves without being offensive, looking for people who vibe with that specific style.
The moderator might have their own particular way of interpreting things, which—I mean, let's be real—can make the general rules feel a bit unnecessarily complicated sometimes.
But I sent a perfectly clear message, and this isn't exactly Craigslist, right? It’s not like I need to list my livestock or provide a deep psychological breakdown of my intentions toward women.
Do I really need to mention that I collect badges and posters? That I dig the stuff young people dig?

That's about it.

Every time I try to post my personal ads, the moderator keeps scrubbing my line "No princesses, please" from the board.

Does he have some kind of weird vendetta against royalty, or am I actually breaking some obscure rule in this forum somewhere?

Look, if he’s going to go ahead and yank an ad that says exactly what I wrote above, then surely I’m entitled to an explanation—just like anyone else on any other thread...

The moderator is staying silent. What's the deal? Is he drunk? High? Or just passed out at his desk?
casualtiger2 said:Personally, his first two books—Don Juan teachings and separate reality—where he pushes the whole mushroom thing, were pretty dull to me. (Later on, it seemed like he was just trying to shake up Castaneda's established worldview).
The Path to Ihtlan, moca circle, second moca circle... all the way to the Art of Dreaming—those were interesting enough as fiction (with an occasional psychological idea worth testing out), but lately, his last few have been so forced and obviously made up that I just couldn't get through them.
I haven't dug much into his actual life—I think what Chery wrote is spot on—and honestly, it feels weird to see people attempting some kind of "self-help" based on his books. 🤷

Well, thank God your nonsense actually makes sense for once.
Do I really have to start asking you basic questions again just to get you to settle down?
rowdytiger34 said:Just one word: drugs.

Being obsessed with Castaneda is basically just being hooked on pills, mushrooms, or Peyote.

Some people just can't stand living in this reality we've been handed. Unfortunately for them, their own brains force their hand, making them reach for something extra to cope. Honestly, they should probably include a disclaimer when publishing Castaneda; his books are nothing more than propaganda for using hallucinogens to "expand consciousness." In that headspace, you might actually start thinking angels are sitting on your head.

I bet Castaneda's fanboys find Christian values annoying because they teach that everyone carries their own cross—you can't just toss it aside by swallowing whatever substance comes your way.

That "just one word" thing seems to have a very specific meaning to you. What exactly is that meaning, and where did you pick it up from?

The phrase refers to expanding consciousness through hallucinogens.
The way drugs are abused in bars and clubs today is what defines the word "drug" for most people.
But the absolute worst kind of abuse? It's modern psychiatry—selling off synthetic versions of everything Castaneda writes about, all based on nothing but pseudo-scientific assumptions...

Whether it was by design or just pure accident, he hasn't a clue... 🤷

I honestly don't get how some guy on Craigslist was even trying to sell a Phenom X3 as if it were unlocked to an x4... what a joke.
No motherboard included, either. 😁

Thanks, Andrew Fox74. 🙂

Hey there!

Quick question—if I have a processor with an unlocked core running on a motherboard that supports UCC, does that core stay unlocked if I move the chip over to a different board that doesn't support core unlocking at all?

Thanks. 🙂
Whatever...

But hey... one of these days... 😁

I’d say... whatever aligns with the generally accepted rules of society.

So, where do you land on that one?

Dennis Adams said:So, look, everyone loves to preach about how honesty is this ultimate virtue... until someone actually pulls you aside and tells you straight up that you messed up. It’s easy to talk the talk when things are smooth, right? But personally, I have massive respect for friends who can just tell me when I’ve screwed up. When someone gives it to me straight, my respect for them just shoots up instantly. To me, that’s the real sign of a close bond. Then you’ve got those other types, though—people who’d much rather sugarcoat everything and wrap their words in velvet just to keep things "pleasant." It makes me wonder... have we all just become total emotional snowflakes? Like, if someone is just being blunt with you—not even trying to trash you in front of a crowd, just being real—do you immediately lose respect for them? For example, I honestly find myself respecting Donald Trump’s style way more because he’ll tell you exactly what’s on his mind. Compare that to Barack Obama, who acts all delicate and polished, saying everything so perfectly while who knows what he's actually thinking behind that calm exterior. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying Donald Trump is some saint or a perfect guy, but when it comes to raw honesty, I’ll take that unrefined, blunt approach over a polished, high-society act any day of the week. What's your take on this? Which camp do you fall into? (And seriously, be honest)

Real honesty only shows up when you've got absolutely nothing left to lose. 🙂
