Music school recommendations? in Students & Teens ·
northernrider14 said:When it comes to music school, I honestly can't find a single thing to complain about... my two sisters and I all went through the program, learning the accordion, and even though I finished my music degree over thirteen years ago, I still play to this day, which brings me such immense joy! My instructor was actually my DAD, and he was the only one who ever gave me anything less than an A—I had straight As in every other subject, but he refused to give me an A just so the other teachers wouldn't think he was playing favorites! Hahaha...
And to top it all off, having that musical background actually earned me some extra credit during the college admissions process.

My sister used to play the accordion, too. When I look back on those days, the one thing that really sticks in my mind is the old folk music we used to play to help rebuild the Midwest. 😂😂😂 She used to drag things out late into the evening whenever she was practicing her bass. It was a total circus. She finished high school, and I finished high school right alongside the Green Bay Packers' alumni. The only difference was that I was playing the flute. People love to preach about how we need to listen to what children actually want. And sure, they should—because I wanted to play the guitar. But when I went to enroll, they lied straight to my face, telling me there wasn't any room left. So, instead of getting what I actually cared about, I ended up stuck with a flute that I hated from day one. 😠 The Prof was decent enough, I suppose, but I sold my flute the second I walked across that graduation stage. 😂😂 That was an absolute grind. ☕ Everything else involving the Green Bay Packers was absolutely top-tier. From the actual performances to the rehearsals, the team bonding, and all the travel—it was nothing short of phenomenal.
Postpartum hemorrhoids—help! in Women's Health ·
steeldriver2 said:My sister dealt with hemorrhoids right after giving birth and tried taking PILEX tablets. She was relieved within about a week. A coworker of mine had similar luck too. If I recall correctly, a box runs about $200$100, which isn't cheap, but it might be worth the investment.

I’m generally pretty frugal, but honestly, I don't even need to drop that kind of cash since I’ve already shared my progress regarding my backside😂 thanks to Donna MG. Truly blessed whoever discovered her. 🙏
granitenomad37 said:I actually took a double dose, but the bleeding wouldn't stop. However, once I started taking magnesium, everything cleared up😍. Whether it was the Pilex, the magnesium, or just changes in my diet🤷, I can't say for sure, but the important thing is that the issue is finally behind me.🙏

I second that idea.

I picked some up yesterday and I’ve been taking it since last night. We'll see how it goes. Honestly, I am following every single piece of advice posted here, but 🤷 it feels like nothing is working. When I’m just lying still, there isn't much pain. But once I'm at
the bathroom—good lord, it's pure agony. 🙏😢 It's absolutely miserable.

Beyond that, you need to seriously ramp up your fiber intake—think heavy on the vegetables, fruit, and whole grains. And for heaven's sake, drink water. Lots of it. 😁

If you actually stick to that, you should see some significant changes in about ten days.

I am already being incredibly careful about what I eat. I’ve cut out all processed deli meats, bananas, and chocolate entirely. I'm sticking strictly to natural juices and light meals. I don't even have much of a taste for spicy food, yet my digestion remains completely stagnant. Nothing is moving.

I went through something almost identical, but it turned out to be anal fissures rather than hemorrhoids, caused by a really rough childbirth. 😢 My OB-GYN mentioned that it’s actually quite rare for someone who didn't have issues during pregnancy or beforehand to suddenly deal with this postpartum—it's usually those fissures, but people often misdiagnose themselves.
In my case, it eventually resolved on its own, but even now, nearly eight months after giving birth, that scar tissue still causes terrible pain whenever I have to use the restroom. 🙂

I haven't heard that before. How do you even treat fissures? There has to be some kind of solution out there. Jesus, enduring that kind of torture for eight months would drive anyone to the brink of insanity.🙏🙏 🙏
Postpartum hemorrhoids—help! in Women's Health ·
Hey everyone. I gave birth exactly two months ago, and since then, I’ve been dealing with hemorrhoids. I never had them before pregnancy or even during it. Honestly, it isn't even the pain itself that’s the biggest issue 😲 when I'm on the toilet; it’s the bleeding I’ve experienced over the last month. 😢 It’s not happening every single day, but let's say every other day, there's a little bit of blood. I’m genuinely worried this is going to turn into something more serious. My mom is already nagging me to see a doctor, but I am absolutely terrified of any kind of exam because the stinging and burning sensation is enough to drive anyone crazy. 🤷 Does anyone have advice on how to get some relief? I bought one of those topical solutions with ten different types of medicinal herbs and aromatics, but it hasn't helped at all since it's just for external use. From what I can tell, these are internal because I don't feel anything on the outer edges when I'm washing up in the shower. Please help—my mom is threatening to force me into getting a colonoscopy 😲😲😂🤣🤣

BTW: Sorry to the moderators if this topic already exists. I searched through 15 pages and couldn't find anything similar, so please move this if necessary.
Postpartum headaches: What's normal and what's not? in Women's Health ·
I feel compelled to weigh in on this thread because I am dealing with these headaches myself.😢 To be honest, I dealt with them before pregnancy, but what I’m experiencing now is absolute madness. My head hurts almost every single day, if not every other. Sometimes it’s these intense, sharp bursts of pain, and other times it’s just this dull, heavy ache that won't quit. It’s driving me insane. On top of that, my back is completely wrecked from carrying the baby around. It’s been seven weeks since I gave birth, and the headaches haven't let up for a second. For what it's worth, I had a standard vaginal delivery—no epidural, no IV drip, nothing. My hormones were perfectly stable during the pregnancy, too. I’m breastfeeding currently. I’ve never struggled with anemia in my life, at least not until now. Should I go see my primary care physician to get some blood work done? Because I am honestly at my breaking point. Every time the weather shifts, I feel like complete hell.🙏🙏🙏
