Psychotropic medication discussion thread

God help me with whatever this guy is rambling about... he clearly hasn't a clue how alcohol actually hits the system or if it even targets anything specific, let alone knowing a damn thing about transmitters. He acts like he understands "cognitive" functions or what a "cognitive disorder" actually entails... oh please, enlighten us then, what does "cognitive" even mean? What the hell is cognition?
He claims in one post that he "tried weed twice and it didn't really do anything to him"; but he won't even try it the first time, and even when he does the second time he'll probably pass, yet somehow he insists it hit him both times and was nothing special... honestly, he just says that because he heard how it's supposed to work, but he didn't experience the fact that he refuses to do it at all... he trusts hearsay more than his own life.
Stop playing amateur "psychopharmacologist."
Threads like this need to be nuked because of guys like crimsonhound80. You absolutely cannot mix depressants—things that "bring you down" or shrink your pupils—with alcohol. Especially not Xanax or similar stuff. We all have slightly different metabolic rates, but everyone's heart can suffer permanent damage when you mix depressants and booze. If something speeds up or slows down your heart rate, don't touch alcohol. Alcohol shouldn't even be a thing; it's just some traditionalist garbage that has never helped anyone in their life, though it’s done plenty of damage to families and communities, especially to those people who think being aggressive is just part of their personality when they get drunk.
I've dealt with so much crap because of stupid people (in my book, anyone drinking alcohol is an idiot) since I was a kid... and I have never once heard a single intelligent thought come out of a drunk person. Why would anyone want that? In my house, I've banned two things: 1. showing up drunk, and 2. drinking. We might have alcohol around for cleaning a cut or something, since I hate using iodine or peroxide, but that's it. People on drugs can show up, because I'm certain they won't try to excuse being stupid or aggressive by saying, "Sorry, I was just wasted."
