Peter Wilson2 said:I feel absolutely terrible on Velafax. It’s a physical struggle—just constant nausea. I’ve been on it for about twenty days now, and honestly, I’d swap it out in a heartbeat.

Maybe try eating some breakfast before you take it...
Just hang in there a bit longer, then talk to your psychiatrist—don't go messing with your meds on your own.

I know you were complaining about Cipralex before—how’s it treating you now?

rustymoose13 said:I could really use some advice here. Does anyone know which over-the-counter cold, flu, or virus medications—like Advil, Tylenol, or Aspirin—are safe to take alongside Cipralex?

Tylenol is fine. I asked my doctor about it last time I was sick.🙂

It feels like heaven for anxiety, but once you're hooked... you just need more and more and more. I was an addict for 15 years; my highest daily dose ever was 8 tablets of 0.5 mg!😲😲😲

Good lord, 8 pills is insane.😲
I'm on antidepressants now, but before that, I was popping Ativan pretty regularly—usually half the smallest dose available. After about 10 months, I realized I needed it more often just to feel normal, so that's when I switched to ADs.
Now, I still indulge every once in a while, but nowhere near as much as I used to.😁

"...Can these inactive ingredients actually affect how the med works?
The fillers can change how fast the pill dissolves, how it spreads through your system, or even how much gets absorbed in your stomach... So when a patient feels like a generic version isn't hitting quite as hard as the brand name, it might not just be in their head.
..."

That part is what really sticks out to me—I've definitely felt the difference myself between the brand name Xanax and some generic version from an overseas manufacturer...

Hey
so what kind of difference did you notice?

I find myself constantly snacking on sweets, especially once evening rolls around. Every time I walk into a grocery store, I feel an almost magnetic pull toward the candy aisles.

Are you on Lexapro too?
Feels like my appetite spiked just as much—and yeah, the late-night sugar binge is real.
Honestly, I can't tell if it's just PMS or what, but some days I am hungry literally every single hour.
If I don't get this under control, I'm gonna be a disaster... I know for a fact I'm pushing well over 175 lbs now.🙂

When it comes to dreams, my therapist told me it’s not even about what happens in them—it's more about how you actually feel during the dream...

Whatever, but honestly? Best money I've ever dropped.

Ashley Thomas5 yeah, tell me about it... I’m dropping $300 every single time just to play... this sport is getting ridiculous😁

thanks for the support 🙂
and man, this whole thing isn't easy either.
sometimes I feel like I just ran a marathon—totally wiped out😁 from all these resurfaced feelings and memories... and then there are those moments where I wonder if I'm even bothering...

Ashley Thomas5, look, I don't touch any antidepressants, but I am hitting up therapy once a week—plus, I'll occasionally pop a little Xanax here and there, just a tiny dose because I’m terrified of getting hooked.
I think the mental health work helps a ton, but man, some days I'm just completely losing my mind.😁

don't even sweat it🙂
ugh, tell me about it—I've read through those side effect lists on the pamphlet a hundred times myself, so trust me, you aren't alone here 😁--I mean, at the end of the day, you could have a bad reaction to a basic Advil, so...
as for the sex stuff, I've heard things can get a little rocky there too...
