Just joined the group and hoping you guys can point me in the right direction.
Does anyone know where I can snag those floating candles? Ideally looking for a bulk pack or something... need quite a few.
I swung by Vegas earlier, but honestly, it was kind of a letdown.

Check out an outfit called "Paraffin Products"—they're based over in Green Field and specialize in making candles.

casualbison8, just show those shots to them so they can finally learn what "top-tier" and "professional" actually look like! 👍

Thanks in advance 🙏🙏🙏🙏

If you're looking for paper in Indianapolis, check out Hobby Lobby, Golden Hand (but man, they'll charge you an arm and a leg), or that stationery shop on Main Street right across from STUC. For ribbons, beads, and all that extra flair, Hobby Lobby and Vigus have stuff, plus Bagat, but honestly? You’ll probably save a ton if you just order online through DTP.

Adding my two cents about the ballroom at Patriotism Inc. I was there last weekend for a wedding and man, that hall is stunning. Honestly? The rooms were even better. 😍

Infinity studio looks pretty interesting based on their website. Pretty cool stuff.
Anić from a small town in Oregon does great work too.

Justin Martinez3 said:Around that time, if you were walking through that alleyway near the park—you know, the path heading toward the public library—there was a bridal shop there called something like "Perfect Groom" or whatever. Anyway, they actually moved to a longer street, roughly across from that Stephany boutique. Last time I happened to pass by, there was a sign up saying they were closed due to some health issues.😉

Thanks so much! That’s definitely what I was looking for.

Four years ago, I dropped off my wedding dress to be tailored at this tiny little boutique in Indianapolis. It was tucked away on a side street near the downtown park. I still have their number, but nobody's picking up. Does anyone know if that shop is even still open?
The dress was made by Kate.

Keith Jones11 said:Thanks, but I haven't heard of them. I’m looking for someone a bit more modern—I actually asked around yesterday and checked out a few studios in Indianapolis, plus a couple in small towns in Ohio and Pennsylvania. Prices are hovering around $6,000$2167. The only real difference is that some photographers bring their own lighting setups and reflectors for the venue, and they say the price stays the same regardless. Now I'm stuck wondering which way to go. If anyone has experience with specific photographers, let me know! Thanks!

I work at a bank here, and honestly, you can't touch a client's account without their green light, even if the mistake was totally on our end.

Robin Rivera4 said:Hello, my lovely ladies from the Midwest, I find myself in need of a little assistance... does anyone happen to know a talented photographer who actually charges reasonable rates? Since I'm based over in Indianapolis, any leads would be incredibly helpful. Honestly, they don't even have to be local to Indy; I'm open to anyone in the surrounding areas! Please, help a girl out!div>

Smith from Gary does great work, though I'm not sure what he charges. I know he shot for someone on this forum before and the photos were killer.

amberheron3 said:Has anyone here tried designing their own wedding invitations and thank-you notes? I was wondering if there are any good places to find supplies for that. Also, I've had people suggest traveling over to some cheaper areas out west to plan the wedding, but I'm not really feeling that idea, even if prices are lower there. Has anyone actually done that?

If you're in Indianapolis, you can grab stuff at Hobby Lobby, some places with a Midas touch, or check out some wedding advice shops.

darkraven17, they were handing out sunflower bouquets at the rally in Washington, D.C. yesterday. You can probably grab some in September, but you’ll have to look for imports since our local harvest is already wrapped up by then.

Bradley Baker5 said:Thanks! This looks incredible—seriously stunning work. I just wish I knew what the pricing tiers looked like! Could you shoot me a DM with those details? thx

Prices usually hover around $1,500. Not sure about the exact breakdown of what's included, but I know they use top-tier gear and even have a crane for those sick aerial shots.

Does anyone happen to know of a good flower nursery around here??
The one I was planning to visit just shut its doors (what a disaster!), and since my mom and I are hoping to decorate our lounge ourselves, we're feeling a bit lost!
Can anyone help me out...

I only know this one greenhouse nursery in a small town in the Midwest. It's on the road between a small town in the Midwest and another small town in the Midwest. You can grab some high-end roses there—the ones with shorter stems—which would be perfect for decorating a venue.

placidsurfer15 said:Hey everyone, so I'm actually getting hitched this year, which means I'm officially coming to the experts to pick your brains for some advice.
We've already locked in our venue—Barun Trenka VK (the Bos halls)—so I was wondering if anyone here has hosted an event there? I’d love some pointers on the little details I should keep an eye on and what specific stuff I need to hammer out with them during planning. We’re doing the full package through them—drinks, catering, desserts, the whole nine yards—but I haven't pulled the trigger on the wedding cake yet since I'm still in the dark about how they handle those.
The day after the big day, we're doing a lunch over at their Salaš ten spot; it’s absolutely gorgeous there, plus it's a total lifesaver because they handle all the setup and transport themselves.
I also managed to book the Quattro band from out in OS, and they seem pretty solid—definitely look like they know how to keep a crowd moving!
Now, I'm still hunting for a killer photographer in the area, plus I need to figure out flowers, boutonnieres... the usual stuff.

Quattro band played my wedding, and they were awesome!

That shop is definitely going to be at the wedding expo. I heard it from a reliable source.🙂

I'm not really sure. I might be able to dig up their number, though. Their son just got married a few months back, and since we handled his wedding invitations, I might be able to track down his contact info somewhere.

I know this family business run by James out in Ivanhoe. They rent out horses and carriages—they even had a booth at that big wedding expo in Indianapolis.
