Which Epson printers have cheap compatible ink? in Computer Peripherals ·
rustysurfer79 said:And what am I supposed to do about it?

If this is how everyone thinks, no wonder our economy is in a coma.

Just buy the original Epson LC and LM inks. For roughly double the price, $33 you get twice the amount. Problem solved.

The way you're doing it, you're paying for 6x30 instead of 2* 10ml—$13. You might as well just save up for a new printer at $200. You'll burn through original ink before you know it. Seriously, after five cleanings and twenty pages of text, you're already shopping for more. And once that twelve-month warranty expires and you realize how much this Epson actually costs you, it’s going straight to the landfill. Then you'll be crying about your old R265, reminiscing about what a great printer it was. Too bad they don't even stock LC and LM cartridges at the local corner store for $5.75 anymore.

Honestly, I couldn't care less about your head or your money.

Once again, you're skipping half the conversation! Explain what LC and LM actually are, and what on earth an invoice is???
What do you mean "corner store"?! I buy my ink at Links, but they're out of stock! I found an alternative where they have them and they're cheaper!
As for the new printer, it's perfect because it's an all-in-one scanner, fax, and copier, which is exactly what I need! I don't want to hear any more excuses. I simply asked a question, just like the person at the start, but it looks like you're just advertising your own site so people buy from you!

rustysurfer79 said:That's true, but paying that redemption fee through the IRS only works if you use FedEx—and let me tell you, they charge an absolute fortune for it. Around $40! $17 Door-to-door delivery included. What more could you possibly want?

So he can just pay by invoice? Is that really how this works?
Send over a copy of the payment receipt. Now.
Then just send over the info from the nearest print shop!
So I have to wait two or three days? Really?

So, basically, we're looking at nearly an entire work week gone. Just like that!

And what about the FedEx delivery? Will that even arrive tomorrow?

So I have to pay? Seriously? $17 Shipping costs? No way. It’s absolutely ridiculous!
Invoices? What on earth are you talking about? I don't run a business, and frankly, I have no clue what an invoice even is. All I need is some basic ink to print things for myself at home!

But look, if you have a bunch of empty LC and LM cartridges lying around, the smartest move is just to drop them off somewhere to get refilled.

And if you tossed them out? Don't look at me. Whose fault is that?

The shipping costs are outrageous! For crying out loud, write so that people who aren't experts can actually understand you. What even is an LC or an LM?!
In Indianapolis, refilling costs $13 or more. Way too expensive!

rustysurfer79 said:that means 60 cartridges costs $147 plus tax. That's the same as buying 180 cartridges for an HP OfficeJet 2520. Basically, one single high-capacity replacement cartridge costs exactly $1.00 including tax. So it's 1 versus 10.

On the other hand, with the Chicago model, you get the CD tray, and you can even pick up an ID card tray too.

So, if anyone with half a brain is listening, it might seem like a good idea to trade that Chicago for a brand-new, mint-condition HP OfficeJet 2520. Assuming, of course, your Chicago actually works perfectly.

What good is an ID card tray to me? I don't even use this for CDs anymore because you can't find printable ones anywhere. And regarding the price—I asked you not to say "+ tax," just give me the final price and tell me how much shipping is.

rustysurfer79 said:Once again, you have those Colibri refillable cartridges that you don't just throw away. You refill them yourself.

And once again, if you just don't get it! The game is rigged so that some naive sucker ends up with exactly what happened to you with the R265. $5.75 Now it’s crying three times over! $10 For the exact same number of prints? Seriously?

Get it?

And what’s the actual cost for the refill kit and the ink itself? I checked your website, but I can't find a single price for what I'm looking for. Half the links don't even work! And seriously, for the R265, the price jumped six times over! $5.75.
So, how much am I actually looking at for these refill cartridges, including all the colors and shipping? And don't you dare give me prices before tax—I want the final total. I need to figure out if this is even worth my time. Honestly, I hate ordering stuff online; I’d much rather just walk into a store and see exactly what I'm paying for with my own eyes.

rustysurfer79 said:Stick with your R265.

Why?

Because the R265 has 90 nozzles per color.

As for this 2529 model, I can't say off the top of my head. But I'd guess it's 180 + 3 * 59.

Plus, the cartridge capacity for the R265 is 10 ml, while for the one above, it's likely only 3.1 - 5.4 ml. So, how much does 1 ml actually cost?

If you install continuous ink tanks on the R265, you won't have any more trouble finding LC and LM colors. And 1 ml equals 220/$200

I can't stick with the R265 because 805 and 806 inks aren't available anymore, nor will they be—at least not in Indianapolis. I'm not paying shipping fees of $10 just to get a single color, and who knows if they'll even stay in stock where I found them online.
Look, I don't care about nozzles or any other technical jargon I don't understand! I just want a printer that does what I need, ideally with a scanner, keeps costs low, and has cheap replacement ink.

Edward James42 said:Greetings everyone. I am planning to buy a printer that uses cheap third-party ink available online. From what I've seen on the web, ink seems to be cheapest for Epson models. However, I have no clue which specific model to pick since I don't know the first thing about printers. I found this Epson Workforce WF-2520NF online—here is the picture. image
It usually costs around... $177Does anyone actually know if compatible inks even exist for this thing? And more importantly, can someone just give me a decent printer recommendation for once?

I'm looking for a new printer, and I stumbled upon this one. Here's my issue: I’ve been using Epson printers for years and I've always been satisfied with them. My current one is an R265, and it has served me perfectly for years. I've just been buying replacement ink... $5.75Now we have a new problem: two out of the six colors aren't producing anything at all! The other four might work for now, but the second one cartridge runs dry, you're stuck. I searched online and found this Epson Workforce WF-2520NF, which seems like the best bet since replacement inks are actually available. In Indianapolis... $10I've been looking at those cheap multipack printers from Canon and HP, but there's a major problem: you can't just buy individual replacement colors. Since I use my printer constantly, I go through ink like crazy. Why would anyone design them that way?

I don't have the exact wording from the Bible memorized, but Jesus sent the apostles out into the world to preach His Word and forgive sins (if you forgive anyone their sins, they are forgiven, but if you withhold forgiveness, it is withheld); priests then descended from those apostles, since the apostles were the very first priests.

My comments about the choir weren't aimed at you. I was talking about those entitled people who expect everything handed to them on a silver platter, only to start throwing stones at the clergy when they get told "no" for perfectly valid reasons. Take someone who hasn't stepped foot in an American church since they were a kid—they walk in expecting some Hollywood-style wedding production. You know what I mean, right?

Someone mentioned earlier that the Priest at your parish might actually give you grief for not getting married in your own church, which is a massive issue. Nobody wants to get caught in the crossfire between two different sides, right?

You’re dead wrong about the car. Most of them get one from their parents as a gift after their first Mass. For Priests, a first Mass is just like a Wedding is for you. Parents don't need to throw a massive reception, so they just buy their son a car instead. Or take my Pastor, for example—he actually took out a loan for his car. The Diocese only covers a fraction of the parish housing and church needs; everything else comes straight from the congregation's donations. I know because that’s how it works here in America. At the end of the year, they publicly announce exactly how much money the parish collected and where every cent went. Right now, our Church of Our Lady of the Snows is undergoing renovations. We have donors, sure, but mostly it's the parishioners chipping in ten bucks here and there. Even the cemetery chapel was recently renovated. And don't think it's free to stay warm in the winter; we have heating, electricity, and water to pay for.

And your headline makes it sound like every single priest in the Midwest is incompetent.
And don't even get me started on weddings. They stay away from church for years, then suddenly they want to tie the knot and expect a full choir to perform for them? People will believe anything! Then they have the nerve to complain about the wedding fee. And what's with the entitlement, expecting the church to be decked out in flowers and fancy organs on their dime?!

Canon law typically dictates that you hold your wedding in your home parish, usually where the bride belongs. If you want to marry elsewhere, you have to notify your own parish and provide some sort of clearance certificate. I’m not entirely sure of the technical term, but I witnessed this firsthand when a couple recently moved to downtown Chicago and wanted to register for their wedding; since their documents still listed their old addresses, they had to bring those official papers from their previous parishes.
I don't know this priest, and I'm certainly not defending him, but did you even show up during office hours? Maybe the man was in a rush. Perhaps he teaches religion at a local school and is just getting back from a classroom full of kids who drove his blood pressure through the roof until he couldn't even remember his own name (anyone who has ever worked in an American school knows how chaotic they've become lately).
As for the money, priests don't receive a standard salary because they serve the parish, unless they teach religious education, in which case they get paid based on their credentials. And why shouldn't he have a car? What does it matter if he's new? In this day and age, parishes are massive, and there are plenty of elderly and sick people who need home visits. If someone else were driving them, people would just accuse the priest of using church funds for private luxuries.
And what is the issue with giving donations at the church? Here, everyone gives whatever they can afford. No one shames them for it. In fact, it’s often said that if you have nothing, just come and say so, and people will help you. But then, certain individuals exploit that kindness and expect huge sums of money. You show up at the door with basic groceries because you know they can't afford food, and they snap at you, demanding cash while holding a pack of cigarettes in their hand.
