James Morales2 said:Hi there,
I was wondering if anyone here has had any experience hiring either Cass or Vance for weddings? We’re currently torn between the two, though I have to admit I'm a little hesitant about the fact that Vance includes a drum in their lineup...
Also, has anyone ever heard the Friendship Party group from Savannah perform at a wedding?

Repertoire-wise, they're down for whatever—seems like they play just about everything we'd want. Haven't caught them live yet, but they sound pretty decent on YouTube, both the band and the singer. So, what's the verdict? Anyone actually seen them before? Any specific details I should know?
Thanks 🙂

I'm looking for some recommendations for a guest reception near Indianapolis.
Thanks
Chris Morgan said:It isn't a strict rule, and I haven't heard of anyone being offended by that one way or another.
In our experience, guests—specifically those who arrive just in time for dinner—usually greet the couple upon entering to offer their congratulations. If people are already out on the dance floor, they typically wait until everyone is seated before doing so. 🤷
I attended a wedding once where the couple did exactly that, walking from table to table to take photos with every guest, but it ended up taking quite a large chunk of time.
My plan was simply to briefly visit the guests who aren't dancing much, such as grandparents or older relatives.

A ton of people are venting about their experiences with Victoria, while the lucky ones who didn't run into any issues seem perfectly happy. It’s like two different worlds. I’m trying to track down some actual work samples from Chic Studio, but I’m hitting a wall. I managed to find some of Victoria's stuff on Facebook, but nothing from Chic Studio—or maybe I'm just looking in all the wrong places. Any leads? 🙂

Sam Campbell2 said:Honestly, my experience was that Victoria just didn't show up—not even a courtesy text or a call to say she couldn't make it, nothing. I was actually serving as the maid of honor at the wedding, and she was supposed to handle the makeup for both the bride and me! I am definitely not risking my look with her ever again, so if you're looking for someone, please pick anyone else but her!
Keith Johnson11 said:Hi everyone 🙂! I’m having a bit of a dilemma: should I go with Victoria Beckham or the Chanel studio? I'm looking for both hair styling and makeup services. I've been scrolling through photos on Facebook, and I honestly can't make up my mind. It feels to me like Victoria does better hair, while MAC Cosmetics nails the makeup. Any suggestions? Has anyone had experience with either? Thanks so much!

But seriously, that's exactly the kind of guy I need. You basically just described my dream man... 😁
Johnnnnnnn, where are you hiding?! 😁 😁 Seriously though, someone get me his info or something...

I really wanted to avoid this, but apparently, it's just how things are... especially with this sweltering heatwave hitting the greater Indianapolis area! 😉

Has anyone actually worked with that band Bud Light out of Indianapolis or that Fox News crew from Savannah?
Since Unspecified and 100% are already booked solid, these two are basically our only real options left!
Help a person out!
graniteridge6 said:Frankly, I don't even care if they're being slightly dishonest about the specifics.
What matters to me—the absolute bottom line—is walking down the aisle in a dress that looks pristine (assuming it isn't actually brand new 😁). If you're paying a premium for "first wear," they ought to at least make an effort to ensure it looks the part, regardless of whether they're stretching the truth or not.
I have yet to hear a single horror story about someone having to scramble for a replacement right before the ceremony because their chosen gown turned out to be yellowed or frayed. 😳
(By the way, I recently put two and two together while reading posts on another thread and realized which Maya you are—you're definitely invited to my wedding, consider yourself booked 😁 😉)
graniteridge6 said:Since you brought it up, I’ve been wondering—how does the whole "first wear" thing actually work? I haven't even started my bridal search yet, so I'm completely in the dark here.
Can you request that for literally any gown? And more importantly, what kind of a price hike are we talking about on average? For instance, if I happen to track down the perfect dress just a few months before the wedding, I can't quite wrap my head around why a shop would find it profitable to set it aside for a "first wear" rather than just selling it to the next person—I'm really not clued in on the mechanics of the business side of this.
If anyone has some insight, please let me know. 🙂
George Bishop72 said:The thing is, I can't find a website for them anywhere—I'm starting to suspect they don't even have one—so I can't really browse their portfolio...
Also, has anyone ever heard of John Maranovic?
George Bishop72 said:I’m looking for some serious makeup advice... please help!
Here’s the deal—I actually do a pretty decent job of doing my own makeup, but for my big day, I want something truly spectacular. Most of what I’ve seen so far has been just... meh.
I reached out to Victoria from Indianapolis, but she won't even book unless there's a group of at least five women. 🤷
I did hear about this artist named Jane Doe, but honestly, there’s zero info online—hardly any photos on Facebook either. Plus, her price starting at $40 including lash extensions seems almost too good to be true... and I'm terrified of being disappointed when you only get married once.
On the other hand, Anna Coric looks absolutely stunning in her portfolio...
I also heard some buzz about Studio 54—has anyone here actually used them?
Any advice at all would mean the world to me.

Paul Garcia20 said:I suppose I should just mention that one day, when I finally decide to tie the knot, I’m definitely going to book 😍 Z_Maju to handle the photography (assuming they don't retire before my future husband actually makes up his mind🙄), because honestly, I haven't seen anyone take better photos...
plus, I don't really know anyone else whose profile picture looks quite as pleasant—which matters to me, I guess, since I have no desire for a photographer who seems unfriendly, never smiles, or might just get drunk and forget they even have a job..
So, on another note, I was wondering if anyone who’s had their makeup done by Jelena Marjanović could maybe drop a link to some photos? I’d love to see her work. A friend of mine is getting married soon, and since I’ve stepped up as the organizer🤣, I want to be sure before I give my recommendation..
If I recall correctly, she did my makeup a few times during those promotional events over at Martimex, but she always seemed to apply way too much foundation😢 (though, then again, almost every makeup artist I've ever used has done that, so maybe it's just me and the fact that I naturally look a bit darker than I actually am)
Thanks in advance, I guess😉
