I assume we'll need some permits from the city or the county. But I'm curious about the location—who actually decides where this happens? Do we get to pick the spot ourselves, or do they tell us where we're allowed to be?

I talked to a guy over at Brothers about the tent situation. He mentioned they have a few spots in town where they set them up—like the Metro parking lot—but if you're trying to get space from the city, it gets a lot more complicated..

Sorry to jump in like this, but I have an important update.
I put down a deposit for the Classic ballroom for a wedding on February 14th, 2009. Since then, my fiancée and I have decided to go with a smaller venue instead. To get my money back, I need to find someone else willing to host their wedding at the Classic on that specific date. If anyone is interested, please reach out. I’m new to this forum, so I’m still figuring out how everyone expects me to be contacted... you guys probably know the drill.
