That venue is solid. I’ve been there full throttle a few times... honestly, they did an amazing job fixing it up...
Thanks a ton,,, I've actually got some coupons from Esenka for the desert stuff so I'll give them a shot,, then we'll see how it goes...
Does anyone actually know any decent salons around Indianapolis? I'm looking for good hair, makeup, pedicures... basically all that stuff...
Morgan Stewart50 said:The Krizmanić family studio. They’re probably the most famous outfit in Columbus, and honestly, their calendar is booked so far in advance it's almost ridiculous, haha! I mean, they are incredibly high in demand... though I can't quite place where you're calling in from exactly?
Hey, I was actually thinking about using them too?? How far in advance did you book them??? And what are they charging—hit me up in a DM if you can
A friend of mine used them for some photos and video once, and I think she said she was happy with the results... but I'll have to track down her DVD to see for myself...
Sandra Morgan7 said:So, I finally tried those cookies from that lady over in Ivankov, and man, they are incredible... though they’re pretty massive. You only get about 30 pieces in a pound, and she’s got like 25 different kinds to choose from.
But seriously, the smell? Divine. And they’re just so soft and delicious—pure bliss. We ended up going with her selection.
Anyway, they go for $1.80 a piece.
I also sampled some treats at the Buccell bakery down in South NYC. They weren't bad either, honestly. It's actually kind of practical since she makes 13 varieties with about 5 pieces per type, so you end up getting over 60 pieces in a pound. A pound there is $23.
I guess it just comes down to what you're looking for, really.
Come on, tell me her name, or just shoot me a DM...

The absolute highlight of my day—the one thing that truly brightened my spirits—was that singing competition they held for the couples! They were all such charming, lovely people, weren't they? But as for the expo itself, I feel it was somewhat doomed from the start, primarily because they decided to mash together wedding planning with baby gear and children's products... It felt so disjointed! On top of that, there were so few vendors to browse through; the whole affair just seemed rather lackluster and underwhelming to me...😢
I'm with you on that,,, I went in thinking there’d be way more vendors, especially since the venue looked huge, but everything was just cluttered and pointless,,, the only decent things I spotted were some table decor pieces,,, and yeah,,, plus I walked away with a mountain of brochures that were mostly duplicates, so I basically just filled up my trash can at home🙂
thanks a ton,,,, i should be good to go now, haha
Hey, regarding that trade show in Indianapolis... anyone from Indy here who can walk me through how to get to Hall South 2?? Coming from the direction of the NBA arena
I don't want to end up wandering around aimlessly😢
neonridge38 said:Does anyone have a recommendation for a top-tier wedding band from the Midwest? Also, does anyone happen to know what their typical rates look like these days? Thanks in advance!
I just sent you a DM with the rates for Sax
Wait, can you actually explain where exactly this is located??? And what time do they even open?
Ugh, man... I'm gonna go ahead and hit up the band right now then... thanks

you might want to get them on the books sooner rather than later... before someone else grabs their dates.
how are they already booked up?
and how much "ahead of time" are we talking here... I honestly thought we were still early since there's still a year and 4 months until...
So, what’s the verdict on the band Standard Chartered over at VCG??? I’ve been hearing they’re actually pretty solid, but has anyone here actually seen them live or dealt with them??
cosmicmarlin20, look, I know Lucy handles the staffing and the catering side of things near $5667, but it really just depends on your guest count. For a crowd of maybe 300 people—or even fewer—it works. Honestly, your best bet is to just head over there and talk to their manager directly. She’ll walk you through everything, so don't be intimidated; just ask whatever you need to know.
A friend of mine hosted her wedding there last summer (and she actually has another one coming up this year), and everything went flawlessly. Given how stunning the venue is, the prices aren't even that bad.
In my opinion, it’s always better to rent the hall separately and bring your own food...
hey, so I actually went to the venue,,, and had a chat with the manager,,, she's great,,, and the place itself seems awesome,,,, the 2010 rates were higher than what they're doing now,,, and $18,000 is just for the space alone,,, but honestly, I'd rather go with the UK menu option,,, $65 was back then,,, maybe we could just bring our own drinks,, we'll see about that...
placidowl20 said:I guess you might be right about me needing to head out of Washington, D.C., and maybe swing through places like Indianapolis or Columbus to scout out flower shops, but since I’m based here, I really only make it back home to visit family once a month on the weekends, so it just feels a bit more practical to set everything up while I'm already in the Midwest... 🤷
I suspect there are some smaller, local florists in Indianapolis that aren't quite as high-end or pricey as the big names, yet they'd probably be happy to work out the same kind of deals for $1.00
I know there's a killer shop in Ivankov—she's amazing, does great work, and I've heard her prices are actually pretty decent...
Hey, hey... just joined the group. So, my partner and I finally pulled the trigger on "that" big step... we're currently in the early stages, looking at venues. One place, Lucy's over in VA, really caught my eye. We haven't actually swung by to see it yet, but we're planning to head out there in the next few days. Does anyone have any experience with this spot? Also, does anyone know what the price looks like for the full package? Like, what's actually included in that menu... are there different tiers to choose from? And honestly, is it worth going all-in with the catering package, or should we just book the hall and handle the food separately? Is the food even worth the extra cost?
