I dropped by Stefani Atelier the other day. I wasn't really looking for much, just wondering if they're actually reliable... Haha. I tried on one wedding dress right away and it was lovely. But I've decided I want to try everything on here before heading out to Canada, so... 🙂)
Anyone from the Indianapolis area seen Jane's bridal shop in the suburbs? Does she have a good selection, and what’s the typical rental price range? If anyone has any insight, I’d really appreciate it!
Nathan Cox25, you just pay a flat fee and it comes out to about $267, regardless of how many guests show up.. Isn't that just how things work in Columbus? A friend of mine had a crowd of around 400 people and paid roughly 800.. We're looking at about 250-300 guests and he quoted us 800, so the guest count doesn't seem to matter at all..
We finally locked down the Elegant venue on the Island! Since the groom is from Columbus, it just made sense, and honestly, the place is stunning. We went with a standard menu—soup, roast, stuffed cabbage, lamb, pork, plus various cakes and pastries. For the wedding party, it’s up to $700 per person. Drinks include almost everything: pear brandy, another specialty, soda, juice, sparkling water, coffee, and bubbly. Table centerpieces go up to $6.75, and the wedding party ones are up to $300, though we can always upgrade. Security is also sorted; it’s $160 per person if there are over 250 guests, or $170 if there are fewer than 250. We also booked Krizmanić for photography at $4,800 plus tips. He is incredibly easy to work with! Even though I was scouting alone without my fiancé, he was totally transparent and helpful. He told us we could call him for any little detail and that we have total flexibility to make things work for us. Now we just need to find music, but hopefully, that happens soon... So, that's how our planning is going so far!
Hey, did they take over the entire property or just the hall? We're still debating whether to book the hall itself. Does anyone know what the new Admiral's deposit looks like? Is he more expensive than the previous guy or actually cheaper? Thanks in advance!
Here’s my rough breakdown for you... You can probably find a photographer or videographer starting around $5,500, if I recall correctly. If you're looking to save a bit, maybe check out some of those local outlets in the suburbs? Everything is usually half the price there. For the band, expect to pay closer to $7,500—I think that might even include some live musicians. As for invitations, it really depends on your style; just browse a few sites like Minted or Etsy to get an idea. Flowers should run you about $2,000. Honestly, if you want, I can send over the rough budget I'm putting together for next year. I hope nobody holds me to these exact numbers, as this is all just a ballpark estimate... You might find things cheaper, or perhaps more expensive... but that's the gist of it.
I only heard about and saw things regarding Božo from Rokovac during Christmas, but I have no idea what the price point is... Maybe they have their own Vigus and Free Haus options, but I'm just not sure... If you happen to find out the prices, would you mind sending me a DM?
I'm curious, who actually needs to have those embroidered towels for the occasion? Is there a specific tradition for it? I know they're used for godparents or tea ceremonies...
Just in case anyone is curious, here in St. Louis, renting a wedding dress usually runs you about $2,000, while buying one can go up to $1333... You get everything included just like it is here, from the basket to all the little extras..
Does anyone have a recommendation for a top-tier wedding band from the Midwest? Also, does anyone happen to know what their typical rates look like these days? Thanks in advance!
Has anyone ever tried DIYing their own invitations or thank-you notes? I’m feeling a bit overwhelmed... Could someone send me a quick DM to explain the process? Thanks so much!
And driftingcobra7, did you get those ribbons from a specialty shop or somewhere else?
Has anyone ever tried making their own invitations or thank-you notes? I’ve been looking into some reverse stamping... Could someone shoot me a quick DM to explain the process? Thanks in advance!
Joining the conversation here... Even though my wedding is still quite a ways off (years away!), I thought I'd ask... Does anyone know how one goes about getting married in a different parish? For example, if the groom is from an Island community and I'm from Indianapolis... does anyone know what the process looks like to marry in a church over on the Island?
