I’ve been thinking about adding a light show to the wedding, but I’m really not sure if it’ll clash with the live folk band... what do you guys think?
I stumbled upon this listing online, so I’m probably gonna give them a call to see what the deal is.

Does anyone happen to know exactly what kind of performance they actually put on?

Look, I actually hired this guy for my wedding back on September 26th and I was beyond happy. I paid $333 but then he bumped it up to 1500... the effects were totally fine, despite people acting like they won't be able to see anything through all the smoke and lights. Trust me, it looks way more intense on video than it does in person. For me, it was awesome. The guy is a total pro; he stays seated all night and watches everything, even cleaning up the floor under the bubble machine so nobody slips and falls. 👍 I'm super satisfied 👍

Betty Foster8 said:I’m honestly pretty torn here... is it a thing where the bride wears a necklace gifted by her mother-in-law at the wedding?? So, I actually received one, and everyone keeps telling me that in the Midwest, it’s just what you do—that it's tradition to wear it... but I already planned out a totally different look for myself. I mean, if it really is a standard tradition, the piece is beautiful and it's not like it won't look good on me, but... 🤷

People asked me the exact same thing—why didn't I wear the necklace and bracelet set I got during my engagement? Because I didn't want to! It just didn't go with my outfit. I had a specific vision in mind, and that's that. Nobody gets a say in what I wear or what I put on. ☕
There will be plenty of other occasions to wear that jewelry later on. 👍

It doesn't matter. I haven't been to the new hall personally, but I've seen the photos. Everything is white and the space is massive. Anything you put on the tables would need to be huge, otherwise, the whole thing looks sterile. A friend attended a wedding there and her only comment was that she kept waiting for a nurse to roll by with medication. I don't know. Mia feels warmer to me. That’s why I chose her. Everyone has their own preference.🙂

And just to be clear, I am not criticizing anyone or anyone's taste. I am simply stating my opinion.

Oh honey, they are absolutely out of their minds. They just hike up the prices every single year.👎 I used a local caterer a couple of years back—my friend paid him $1,700, then I booked him last year for $2,000, and then I hear he bumped it up again to like $2,200 or $2,300...🙄 And who knows how much it'll be now that he's renovated the hall and launched a website. I'm positive the price is going through the roof again. Good grief, you better get married ASAP because in a few years, nobody's going to have enough cash to pay for any of this, haha.

Does anyone have any solid recommendations for a salon in Des Moines? I’m looking for someone who can handle both hair and makeup at the same time. 🙂

Hey, has anyone actually seen where you can buy an aisle runner locally? Here's a photo...image I’m dying to get one, but I haven't found anything anywhere unless I order it from overseas... and honestly, I really don't want to deal with all that hassle.

I don't have a ton of details to give you, but honestly, I just really like her. Hehe. The studio itself is beautiful, though I will say it’s definitely the priciest spot in Savannah...☕

Check out this site. Personally, I think their work is great—the shots look beautiful and they put together a solid DVD. They did my cousin's shoot a while back... www.tref.hr
