Everything you need for a Midwest wedding in Weddings ·
Got a wedding coming up early September and a buddy is playing for us. I need a bluegrass band for the daytime stuff—like when we pick up the bride and all that—who wouldn't mind rotating shifts with my friend for maybe 2 or 3 hours at a time. Honestly, everything I find is overpriced... they want $1,300 plus just for those few hours. That’s way too much for my budget right now. If anyone knows a group that would be down for this kind of setup at a reasonable price, let me know. Thanks!

fadedskipper17 said:I completely forgot to mention—we had the Dreamer band from Nustar play our wedding. Honestly, I can't recommend them enough; you can pretty much work out any detail regarding the sets with them. They played the entire night—they actually didn't even want to stop playing during dinner! Eventually, my dad had to practically beg them to sit down for a bite to eat. Personally, I thought they were fantastic and they created such a wonderful atmosphere. They even played for us earlier during the procession. They hung out by the groom first, then came over to my side, and once we started heading toward the chapel, they headed off to the hotel to change and get ready for the next part.

Are they a country band or something? Where can I find a recording of them? I need a band ASAP. I was looking at Vox because they mix electronic stuff with traditional instruments and have a huge repertoire, but no luck so far...
