Yeah. You should probably check out verses 39 and 43 since you brought up the Jewish people 🙂

Note: It’s funny how students act so dense when Jesus says "living God"—they don't even hear the ".. living" part, they just catch "God."
Those literal-minded fools did the same thing in verse 22: they miss "be like children" and just see "..children." Same thing in verse 46. They get tripped up by the nouns instead of focusing on the descriptive adjectives 🙂 which really needs to be looked at alongside verse 28.
In verses 32 and 33, it's like they completely missed the point 🙂 as if, in their holy quest for knowledge, they didn't see how his advice applied to everything in verse 39. I mean, that crowd ended up killing him precisely because he wasn't acting the way they expected. Is he being a total demagogue here? 😍

I agree with every single saying and find them all pretty practical for everyday life. Verse 55 is the most interesting one to me, though—I don't really agree unless he actually meant: "don't let them walk all over you." 😉

Hannah Thompson2 said:No, actually, the first commandment is to kiss God the Father with all your heart, soul, and mind. Christ is the way, the truth, and the life.

Back this up with some kind of actual argument.

Well, obviously. God exists outside of past and future; He exists in eternity.

How is any of that "small," and does it really matter whose letters they are?

The reason people get screwed over by thinking it's "all small" or strictly Bible-only is because of groups like the Native Americans, 😍 the Cathars, 😍 and the Templars. 😍 👍
And I guess everyone else who isn't limited by their own mind or spirit will end up in the same boat. 😍
Like, if you asked Native Americans if they believed in God and Christ his son,
they'd say they worship the spirit that's present in everything. We all know how that turned out. 😂😂😂
What if I said the first commandment was "love your daughter who is the Holy Spirit"? Would that really be such a huge deal?
Am I wrong then? Am I headed to hell just for being an idiot? 😛 🤣

I guess you haven't even read the Gospel of Thomas, which is the only reliable one, you sleepyhead. 👍

copperseal8 said:God is light.

Yeah, but there's darkness too, I guess. 😍 Since God can't really exist in duality, right? It's like that whole "Light shines in the darkness" thing when you realize
the divine is just a spark 👍

Hannah Thompson2 said:Care to elaborate? Are you actually implying that I'm just "clueless"?

God simply is what He is—it’s just that everyone’s knowledge and perception of Him varies.

It’s honestly a bit sad that your perspective is like this. Just so we're clear, I don't think people who haven't experienced God are "bad"—take Buddhists, for example. They don't worship God, yet they have plenty of positive values (striving for spirituality, growing personally, letting go of worldly desires—that's all good), even if they haven't reached the full picture yet.
But as far as I can tell, there's nothing spiritual about your view.

It’s just labels, purely labels! That's how Satanism started, please! It's basically worshipping a human being. Something divine can manifest on Earth as a "god," but it's never, ever actually "God" up there in the energy—that's just the metaphysical principle, the "divine."👍
"Christians" who don't put "god" in quotes are prone to (well) schizophrenia.👍😍☕
But you have to remember: the "divine" existed long, long before "Christians."👍
So, there's no such thing as exclusivity or searching for some massive divine principle in a tiny little Bible filled with small Jewish letters and a small "god" like Yahweh.😍 Which you might totally miss if you aren't reading carefully between the lines.😂😂😂

How can you be so sure about that? Did you just read that somewhere? I agree that there shouldn't be an ideology attached, but I get the feeling you think God has nothing to do with spirituality—am I hitting close to home there?

Honestly, thinking is just too damn hard. 😍

How can you be so sure? Did you just read that somewhere or what? I agree there isn't much ideology involved, but I'm guessing you think God has nothing to do with spirituality, right?

WHAT IS GOD? (see signature)
Resurrection in Spirituality ·
I mean, you're just stuck, and your consciousness isn't even really yours—it’s just been programmed. ☕
A truly spiritual person doesn't get hung up on ideologies defined by nouns like "God" or "the sun." 👍

I tried calling out that idiot, but the mods just nuked my post. I guess they can answer for him then 🙂

Hannah Thompson2 said:But who counts as an "average person" anyway? And how do you actually decide who is conscious of their actions? Are you really claiming you're someone who isn't prone to error?

I guess an average person is just someone who doesn't care about holistic awareness or even wants to. ☕
Am I a sinner? If I'm not, then what? And if I am, so what?

(I am)(I am not)=0 😬

Translation:
I'm a sinner, man. Exactly! image
I'm not a sinner. Exactly! image
I'm both a sinner and not a sinner. Exactly! image
I'm neither a sinner nor not a sinner. Exactly! image

Maybe that quadripolar Eastern female Yin logic is just better than the Western male Yang bipolar style of saying "it either is or it isn't."
It's got more dimensions, so it's probably better, right? 😍
Think of it this way in a Christian sense: (Satan)(God)=the exact same thing=0

Casey Jackson17 said:Look, beating death from a Christian perspective basically boils down to conquering sin, because if you follow the doctrine, sin is the whole reason everything alive eventually kicks the bucket... and let's be real, we can't tackle sin on our own, which is why we're saved through the Resurrection of Jesus if we actually buy in and live by that faith... honestly, the real hurdle is just believing that Jesus Christ is the living God who took on flesh and that He did indeed Resurrect... though, if you think about it, there's way more solid evidence for the Resurrection of Jesus than there is for half the stuff they shove down our throats in American history textbooks that we just blindly accept as gospel truth...

An average person doesn't sin and can't even sin, mostly because they aren't even aware of it... 👍😍☕

Yeah! 👋👋
But honestly, it’s just the people who are feeding you lies right now. I guess what goes up must come down. 😍👍🙂🙂

bluebison70 said:The resurrection of the body? I just don't see how that's achievable. Every physical body eventually breaks down and decays. Even if a body *could* be resurrected, it raises questions—which version of the body would it be? A child's, a young adult's, someone in their middle years, or just the body as it was at the moment of death? And then there's the question of where... I mean, where does a resurrection take place? Is it Heaven or Hell? If someone were to rise again, maybe it would just be their spirit or their soul—but the physical body? I doubt it.

I suppose Jesus's physical body didn't actually rise in a material sense. It was His spiritual body that rose. God is spirit, after all, not flesh. You can't really "place" anything inside a spirit because it isn't a physical space or anything like that.

Dust you were, and to dust you shall return.

It's a space, it just isn't a room! 👍

Jamie Peterson said:You wouldn't find out a thing! Here’s the thing—if you want to learn what you're looking for, and specifically from someone who’s "enlightened" as you put it, you have to be enlightened yourself. But if you actually get there, there’s nothing left to "learn," is there? Otherwise, you're just staring at Budan through the tiny lens of your own limited perspective and capacity. To truly see Budan, you have to go all in—you have to fully surrender to that state of wakefulness within yourself.

Well yeah, it's like they say: as above, so below. 😍 And as below, so below. 😬 🤣 🤣 🤣

Jerry Cruz said:I’ve got an idea. When one of you actually hits that moment of true enlightenment—that sudden, blinding clarity—don't just sit there. Tell us about the experience. We need to hear the raw details, the actual feeling of it, rather than just dry theories from some textbook in a library.😉.....

I guess that's more like a tiny spark rather than a full light or a flame. ☕

Jamie Peterson said:Why go mixing up all these different concepts and just confusing everyone?
Well, here’s the thing—Prana can manifest as sexual energy because Prana is essentially a different layer of reality; it's more like the *modus vivendi* of the second chakra that gets released when Kundalini moves through it. At least, that's how things work within the framework of Yoga.
Now, if you look at Chinese energy systems, Kundalini is basically synonymous with Qi—whether you call it Chi, Ki, or Qi. It isn't strictly "sexual energy" by definition, but it *shows up* as sexual energy when someone's conscious focus is centered right on that second chakra.
As far as I know, Mana is more of a Western concept that maps pretty closely onto Prana. Historically, people in the West haven't spent a whole lot of time deep-diving into the intricate energetic makeup of the human body.
The bottom line is that Qi can present itself as sexual energy, sure, but it can also show up as emotional aggression, physical strength, or spiritual willpower—even though, fundamentally, it isn't any of those specific things.

Chi is basically just sexual energy sitting in the hari. 😉
image
And if you raise it, it leads to enlightenment. (Or at least, that's what they say regarding the chakras.)
I guess you should probably start practicing Yoga if you're going to talk about chakras and Jewish mysticism. 😬
Even Jewish traditions have more experience with energy work than you do.
I mean, you could definitely look at Kabbalah from a magical perspective. 😬 🤣 🤣 🤣
Resurrection in Spirituality ·
Jamie Peterson said:I don't think that's even possible. In the Kabbalah, Chi is represented by Shekina—that feminine energy that has to be liberated from its bondage, kept pure, you know? Like an untouched essence.
Think of it this way: Excalibur (Ki) will only pull something meaningful out of the stone (matter) if the heart behind it is clean.
Sexual energy is meant to be transcended or transformed, not just leveled up into universal energy while staying the same. It's a bit like trying to force a maiden to become a mother before she's ready—it just doesn't work that way. 😉

Yeah, a virgin is pure. 😬 So, are you looking for the unknown in the unknown and Sri Yantra? 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣
Resurrection in Spirituality ·
Jerry Cruz said:You both have a point, haha. Sexual energy is really the only fuel we've got, and if there's any way to channel it upward into something universal, that’s what people call CHI.

Driven by ego—that’s a great way to put it. Most of those types carry these heavy, dark auras because their egos are basically crowded with low-level entities and elemental baggage. I'm with you there, Q. Just imagine what happens when you actually cut those ties for them; they'd probably just fold instantly, right? It's their only source of nourishment. Grim, but true.

Yeah. 😉
