Student Loans

Greetings. I find myself contemplating the various contingencies surrounding student loans—specifically those deferred until after graduation. While I have every intention of completing my degree, life is notoriously unpredictable. What happens if, due to legitimate and unforeseen circumstances, I am forced to withdraw from my studies entirely? Or perhaps I might need to take a gap year, or simply fail to graduate within the expected timeframe? Furthermore, I must consider the most somber possibility: should I pass away, who becomes responsible for the remaining balance? My parents are not in a financial position to shoulder such a burden, and the last thing I wish to do is leave them with my debts. I am simply attempting to be thorough and informed so that I am never caught off guard by these realities. I hope you can appreciate my desire for clarity. 🙂
