How to get rid of a persistent cough?
in Health ·
Hey there
Got a question about a collapsed lung
Back in October 2006, I had a pneumothorax, but doctors only actually confirmed it this past March.
I’m wondering if it can actually heal on its own or if I’m looking at surgery. My doctor sent me for X-rays, and I ended up going in five times over two weeks for scans and checkups. She told me it looked like it was sealing back up and would be fine in a few days, but I'm still getting the same symptoms and that swelling sensation. It feels like it reopens roughly every three months for about a week or ten days, and my breathing gets messed up. Also, should I be worried about smoking, or should I just quit?
Thanks
