Raymond Brooks7 said:Look, it’s a long story. The deposit wasn't even settled on that day because, frankly, nobody even knew what the numbers were yet. We were basically operating on pure faith because the floor manager kept pushing us to move forward before the pricing was even finalized.
It doesn't matter. Honestly, I've moved past all that. I finally found a much better venue, one run by genuinely great people. It’s night and day.I've had enough. It’s all just noise at this point.I feel like I have a responsibility here to issue a warning. Everyone needs to watch their step. We can't risk having everything scrapped because someone decided to act unprofessionally. It’s not exactly easy finding a venue that can accommodate 150 people on five months' notice for a cruise, you know? Or maybe "they" just need to actually do their jobs and show some professionalism for once. In this industry, a solid recommendation is everything. Don't throw it away.

Everyone on this forum jumps straight to panic mode over a single mistake.
I realize it’s hard when you’re the one dealing with the screw-up, but the reality is that NIRS is a new venue. They deserve some grace while they find their footing. It’s tough to swallow after getting burned, but maybe after ten more weddings, that same venue will prove to be the best in the business.
The same goes for debating whether Vic is rude or not. That’s a matter of taste. If someone has heard him speak at several receptions, it’s frankly disrespectful to keep trying to convince them otherwise.

You all need to accept the fact that there is no debating matters of taste.

😕Raymond Brooks7, if you were the one who actually booked the venue, you might have grounds for a lawsuit. You almost certainly signed a contract when you put down the deposit, right?😕

I hired Photo California to handle the photography and video for my party, and honestly, I couldn't be happier with their work!

I paid 1,000 dollars, and here is exactly what was included:
two massive leather albums filled with countless large-format prints,
every single shot of the guests (which is usually an extra fee),
three DVDs featuring the full-length versions of everything, and
one short highlight reel (an additional 100-dollar add-on),
The DVDs include an intro sequence, a feature on me, one on him, footage from after the ceremony, and a final montage capturing all the best moments from the celebration.

Why hasn't anyone mentioned the Hotel Lav yet?

The hall itself is stunning, though it looks like their cheapest menu starts at around $55-$60.
But man, that room is truly beautiful.

Just adding a few more to the list.....

Grašo is asking an extra 10 just for the indoor hall$0.00 and if you want both the hall and the terrace, that’s another 10$0.00! It’s basically some kind of rental fee or whatever.

The Frapa marina offers menus starting at 45 dollars plus drinks (but honestly, every dollar spent there is worth it)

Yeah, seriously.
In all my years on this forum—which feels like a lifetime—I haven't seen anyone mention doing a ribs dinner at Meden.
If you want to know about menu variations, just ask them directly; otherwise, you'll just have to take your chances.

But don't go setting your expectations too high. Everyone has different standards and tastes. What one person thinks is incredible, someone else might find mediocre. Honestly, the opinions of strangers you don't even know shouldn't carry much weight.
Good luck!
