Laser eye surgery in Health ·
I haven't gone back to read through all the old threads, but I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around how an operation like this would be feasible for a kid that young. That said, I was really thrown for a loop by a letter I saw from a mom who actually went through with it at a private clinic in Switzerland for her five-year-old.

Anyway, thanks for the input, 🙂

Best, 👋

Hey everyone! I’ve been lurking on this forum for a while now and I really love the community here. Instead of just posting random stuff about my hobbies or personal life like some teenager would, I wanted to jump in and ask for some actual advice.

I'm looking for recommendations for a clinic—either private or a major hospital—here in the States that performs successful laser eye surgery. To give you some context, the patient has been wearing glasses for about two years now. They've been diagnosed with amblyopia in the left eye, and there's a significant difference in both the cylinder and diopter measurements. One eye is farsighted while the other is nearsighted. Honestly, I don't have a lot of faith in the medical system in Canada, which is why I'm reaching out to this group; I'm hoping to find some helpful insights from people who know better. The child is currently 8.5 years old.

Has anyone here dealt with something similar or had any experience with this kind of procedure? If you have, I would truly appreciate any guidance or tips you can share.

Thanks so much in advance!🙂 🙂 🙂

Actually, it might be better if the dentist was a bit curvier—it makes the whole experience less painful!

Uh, wasn't really aiming for that, but hey, feel free to share all those wild dental fantasies if you want. 🙂

Well, you clearly haven't seen my wisdom tooth lately. 😁

It’s perfect for working on your glutes.
Maybe try getting a massage too...
Honestly, just head down to your local Gold's Gym and ask a trainer for some pointers.
Either way, you really have to make sure you're doing the exercises with proper form. Otherwise, you're just asking for an injury.

I forgot to mention that you really have to stick with the supplements for at least three to four months before you start seeing any actual results. I ended up taking them for six months straight and saw absolutely nothing, so I just gave up on them.
I've been using Estée Lauder's "Forte Strong" polish lately, and it actually seems to be helping.

Hey there!
I used to take Merz, and if I remember correctly, they cost about $23. You can usually pick them up at a pharmacy rather than at a Walgreens.
I took them for a few months because my nails were giving me trouble, but honestly, it didn't do much for me.
In my case, it was probably just an iron deficiency.
It might be worth seeing a dermatologist to get a professional opinion.

I honestly don't get it—if there’s a mountain of info about fish therapy online, why did you need to reach out for help? And what exactly is costing 1,200 bucks? Is that for the fish or the treatment itself? Do a little digging and you’ll realize the email wasn't even sent to me. To avoid sounding like I'm running an ad, let's just say the email didn't go to San Francisco, it went to Monterey instead. If you look online, you'll find two different websites under "psoriasis." Sorry, but I'm not the person everyone is talking about here.
It’s pretty straightforward: if you want to try this, go buy some fish or spend a few minutes researching online and figure it out yourself. It's your call. Here is the link www.kangal-fischle.de for that, but for anything else, you're on your own, just like I was.

If I could pull this lineup together, this would easily be my all-time dream band:

Vocals - Freddie Mercury (Queen)
Guitar - Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin)
Keyboards - Ray Manzarek (The Doors)
Bass - John Entwistle (The Who)
Drums - John Bonham (Led Zeppelin)

Who do you guys think is the greatest songwriter in rock history?

Ahem, just saying... plus-sized people can be incredibly attractive too.

Fine! Have it your way. The people who actually get me are doing just fine, and those who don't? They're even better off without me.
Some people really go out of their way to hide how old they are...
If you hate yourself enough... well, you might as well hate the whole world... but hey, whatever. It doesn't change anything.
I’m not here to be some spokesperson for America or run any kind of PR campaign. Chaos, everyone!!!!!!

I smoked for about 10 or 11 years, but I’ve been clean for 5 or 6 months now. The biggest motivator was getting pregnant, so I quit both smoking and drinking at the same time.😢
It was tough back then, and honestly, it still is sometimes—but it feels more like a mental battle than an actual physical craving.
Wishing everyone the absolute best if you've decided to take on this brutal, uphill climb of breaking the habit!👋

It’s honestly fascinating watching how some people react to news like this with that classic “I’ll believe it when I see it” attitude. I actually have a simple fix for the skeptics: just hop on Google, search for GARRA RUFA, and do your own homework. Once you start digging, you’ll realize this isn't just me talking nonsense—it’s the real deal and it actually works.
Shouldn't this kind of breakthrough be cause for celebration? Or at the very least, shouldn't it bring some hope to those living with psoriasis?

I’ve been battling psoriasis for about twenty years now. Up until this past fall, I actually thought I had finally managed to get it under control.
In the beginning, it was just limited to my scalp. But things took a turn for the worse after my first pregnancy, and by the time my second child came along, it absolutely exploded. About 90% of my body was covered. Even though I was showering daily and slathering on steroid creams, it barely touched the most severe areas—and let me tell you, that covered a massive part of my body.
Every now and then, using Belošalić helped a little bit with the base cream, but honestly? I had reached a point where I just didn't believe anything existed that could offer long-term relief.
Then, last year, my husband mentioned seeing this segment on a TV program about how certain little fish in Turkey can actually treat psoriasis by nibbling on the affected skin.
It sounded so surreal and out of reach, until I started digging around online and discovered there are actually breeders for these fish right here in Europe.
So, we pulled the trigger and organized everything. After two and a half months, the fish arrived and I finally started the therapy. Once the treatment was done, I spent some time soaking up the sun, and that was really it. My skin became smooth, and the redness gradually just faded away.
I won't lie—I was pretty terrified about how this would turn out, especially considering the amount of money we sank into the whole process.
But looking at where I am now, I can confidently say everything is fine; my psoriasis is 100% gone. In about 80% of cases, it doesn't come back, and even if it does, it’s much milder and easy to manage immediately. I’ve even set up my own website, so if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Here’s my take on it:
I smoked one brand for about four years, going through roughly two packs a day. Back when they were getting too expensive, I started rolling my own. Honestly, spitting was probably my trademark back then.
Eventually, I quit—by force, really—because I was traveling abroad and completely broke. I have to say, while I was smoking, I felt sick all the time—sinus issues, lung problems... the withdrawal process itself was brutal for me, but it passed in about three or four days.
I haven't touched a cigarette in about three years now.
But man, the cravings still hit me sometimes... I honestly don't think I'll ever truly get rid of those urges.
