Feeling lonely lately in Psychology ·

Whatever you do, just don't do that! Honestly—psychiatrists just don't grasp those subtle psychological nuances. You won't get any real help from them; if anything, they'll just end up making things worse.

Not everyone fits that stereotype, you know? There are plenty of people out there who have never even experienced true love, yet they’re walking around with three kids of their own.

You've got a point there—honestly, I couldn't agree more. 😵

My point is, if we're looking at what happens before an episode even begins—people aren't simply born as psychopaths.
It’s honestly fascinating how much of life is governed by pure chance; whether someone ends up hitting the jackpot or facing a string of bad luck is often just down to the luck of the draw.

People can say whatever they want, but honestly—when two people find that kind of deep, intimate connection in the heat of the moment (driven by actual love)—it’s basically a cure for half of those total idiots

My heart was pounding out of my chest from the Lexapro—I had to stop taking it almost immediately because I felt like I couldn't catch my breath, and my legs felt completely numb from the knees down.

Most psychiatrists seem to have this fundamentally flawed approach—it’s as if they assume their patients are just completely delusional or out of touch with reality. In truth, the vast majority of people seeking help have an incredibly sharp sense of their own situation and where they actually stand. Most doctors simply fail to recognize this because they tend to look down on them, treating them as less capable than they truly are.

"Manična" feels like a more accurate term here. You’re using a way too predictable approach for someone who is genuinely psychotic

Insulin therapy should have been phased out ages ago

@ briskgull27, you seem a little unhinged to me—not quite schizophrenic, but definitely off

The real issue here—and it’s a significant one—is that you rarely encounter a psychiatrist subtle enough to actually read someone's gaze or their body language, things that often communicate far more than any standardized clinical test ever could. For what it's worth, I carry an F23 diagnosis myself.😛

I can tell you quite clearly that true cases of insanity only account for about 20% of those currently carrying a schizophrenia diagnosis. It seems like everything and anything is being shoved under the "schizophrenia" label these days.
