Hey there,

I was wondering if anyone here has gone through this specific screening process before—if so, would you mind sharing your experience?

I'm curious about the specifics—how much discomfort are we talking about? How long does the whole thing actually take? What’s the step-by-step process like, and what kind of results should I expect?

Thanks so much! 🙂
Maria Fisher46 said:One more thing—double-check those lab results, specifically the "HLA-DRB1*" section. Is there any number listed besides 13?

Otherwise, there might be a bit of a misunderstanding here. It isn't actually HLA-DRB1 that's linked to rheumatoid arthritis—it's HLA-DRB1*04—and that is a massive distinction to make.

Until you can verify that specific finding, I'd highly recommend revisiting what I mentioned earlier regarding this topic:

Thank you for getting back to me 🙏
I just checked, and there isn't another number; the first box shows 13, while the second one just has a dash (-). What does that dash signify?
Based on everything we've discussed, would it be fair to say that I'm at a higher risk of developing arthritis?
Hi everyone. I was wondering if I could ask for some help interpreting these lab results. Thanks in advance! 😛
Background: About 4-5 months ago, I started seeing changes in my nails—specifically onycholysis (where all 20 nails begin separating from the nail bed).
According to my rheumatologist, X-rays of my hands didn't show any signs of psoriasis or arthritis. On top of that, all my fungal tests came back negative.
My other blood work, as well as my lung and heart scans, look good.

*The condition listed under code (psoriatic arthritis) in the notes is the disease we have been trying to confirm since treatment began.
Does this note mean the disease is confirmed (as a direction), or is it just mentioned because it's what we are currently investigating?
🤔

I understand that typing alone can't confirm a diagnosis—that it really just serves as a test for predisposition toward a certain condition.
Also, I've read in a few studies that HLA-DRB1 is linked to arthritis.
