Epson EcoTank & CISS setup in Computer Peripherals ·
It’s not just wrong, it is fundamentally, completely wrong,

I was simply asking if anyone could lend me a hand, and we hadn't even touched on the price yet, but the very first reaction from a "true American patriot" was basically, "Ha! What an idiot, he bought something he doesn't know how to operate." Well, duh! If everyone else actually understood everything about printers, how on earth would you, as a professional printer technician, make a living? You’d be broke and out of business in a heartbeat, and honestly, you wouldn't last long anyway with such a massive, overinflated ego regarding "everyone else." Instead of being happy that someone is actually coming to you for help with something you're an expert in—trying to get it fixed before they even ask what it costs—you just brush them off immediately. Bravo, genius! Real professional work there!

Oh, look, here comes some more "expert" advice from yet another "true American." You know the type—the kind of people who get a massive kick out of seeing their neighbor’s cow drop dead, or when someone's barn catches fire and they rush over to "help" by pouring gasoline on the flames.
If you didn't have anything remotely intelligent to contribute to this conversation, you really should've just kept your mouth shut instead of dumping this pile of nonsense on us!
It's not like everyone on this planet managed to suck up all the world's wisdom just to end up as specialized printer repairmen like you.
Then there are those poor souls who actually went through the trouble of finishing college, only to lack that incredible stroke of luck you seem to be blessed with—the "gift" of knowing how to fix printers. Honestly, good for you; I am truly, deeply envious of your staggering intellect!

I’m reaching out because I am seriously losing my mind over this issue: I just got a brand new Epson EcoTank, and right after the initial black ink ran out, I went ahead and installed a CISS setup (the cartridges actually have chips on them). But here’s the kicker—as soon as I power the thing up, the printer just flags an error with the ink system and refuses to budge. It won't even let me move past the error screen! To be fair, it did initially call me out for using non-HP OEM cartridges, but I just hit "OK" thinking I could bypass it, and then *boom*—that error popped up and everything stalled.
Can anyone please tell me what the hell I should do now? Thanks.😕

Alright guys, thanks. Honestly, I had been mulling over getting a Radeon 6670 myself, but since you all clearly know way more than I do, I figured I'd better ask first before making any dumb moves!

It’s just that basic, run-of-the-mill 420W power supply that came bundled with the case, nothing special at all.

Look, it’s been a total obsession of mine for ages, and now I finally have the chance to actually pull the trigger and treat myself!

So, I’ve gone ahead and refreshed my setup a little bit: I've got an ASUS F1A75-V Pro motherboard, an AMD A6-3850 CPU, 8GB of G.SKILL Sniper RAM (2x4GB at 1600MHz), just a basic LC Power case with a standard 420W power supply, a Cooler Master Katana cooler, and a Cybox 16:9 monitor, which I currently have set to 1440x900.
Look, this rig isn't some high-end gaming beast; it's strictly for video editing, photo work, building websites, and other similar
nonsense.
Since my motherboard supports CrossFireX, I'm torn—should I grab two weaker cards and try to run them in CrossFire (if so, which ones?), or should I just pick up a Radeon 6670 1GB/DDR5 with built-in DVB-T, or maybe something else entirely? Just a heads up, nothing higher than $0.33 is even on the table!

Thanks!
Best software for ripping DVDs? in Software ·
I ran into this exact same headache with Ripguard back this past spring. I just couldn't get my DVDs to rip directly onto my hard drive anymore. Now, the thing about Shrink is that it’s meant for when you've already dumped the files onto your drive and realized you've grabbed more data than a single-layer disc can actually hold; it basically squeezes the extra junk down so the whole movie fits on one disc perfectly.
After spinning my wheels for a while, I stumbled upon Handbrake—it's this tiny little free utility that honestly still works like a charm for me, and I've been using it to pull every single DVD movie off my originals without a single hiccup. Of course, I follow that up with Shrink to compress things, and then I burn them all to build out my home movie collection.
Don't get me wrong, Handbrake is solid, but if you were looking at AnyDVD, I personally couldn't track down a working crack for it, so if you aren't in the mood to go on some wild scavenger hunt for a crack, Handbrake is a fantastic alternative! 👍 👍

Man, I’ve been exactly where you are. For years, I kept telling myself that things would eventually settle down—I mean, for crying out loud, they’re my parents, right? They’re supposed to love me, get where I'm coming from, and actually have my back. But nope! Not a chance. Sure, they’re my folks, but they are so incredibly selfish that it’s all about them, while I’m just expected to fend for myself and figure everything out on my own. There were so many times in the past when, instead of stepping up to help me—actually, instead of offering a hand—they’d go out of their way to make things even more bitter for me!
Then one day, I just finally snapped and decided: enough is enough. Now, we only see each other a few times a year, and honestly, that's strictly so my kids can spend some time with their grandparents. As far as I'm concerned, they might as well be dead; that chapter of my life is closed, locked, and buried.
I don't hold any love for them anymore, plain and simple!!!
