Like I said, you clearly have zero clue how F1 works and you're just regurgitating journalist garbage...
Maybe try using your brain for once...

Or at least listen to what Tibi is telling you. ☕

Rick starts behind Hulk. ☕

🤦

Don't act like a genius when you already messed up by claiming Ford was faster than Red Bull...👋

I never said Rick would start in 10th—all I said was "we'll see."
stormybadger8 said:The more I chew on this, the more I'm convinced that whole engine component issue is on Red Bull, not General Motors.

If it’s actually true that the old guy is carrying an extra 10 pounds and is even weaker than before, I don't get why there isn't a massive media circus blowing this out of proportion. Seriously, where is the outrage? 🤔
Dammit, F1 actually forces their drivers to drop two kilos just because they're struggling with the weight limits.
Red Bull is sitting on an extra 5kg, their engine component is underperforming, and they’re stuck like this for at least five more races. Suddenly, everyone is pointing fingers at General Motors, yet nobody from the Red Bull camp is saying a damn word about it.
And even if everything regarding that engine component is actually fine, let’s be real: they basically blew a quarter of the season. At this point, they might as well have thrown the whole thing away, no matter how good the upgrade looks after those first five races.
And nothing from those Red Bull Racing vultures. Not even a hint. It’s not like they’re actually going to screw over everyone at General Motors like they usually do whenever one of their typical messes happens.
And even for every single loss where General Motors wasn't necessarily the only one to blame...

Something feels seriously off here. 🤔
It sounds insane that Mark isn't out there tearing into General Motors, and even Christian Horner isn't badmouthing them. It’s like the drivers are just totally sworn to secrecy when it comes to the engines.
Honestly, it’s starting to look more like a Red Bull mess than a General Motors issue, especially since they've gone so quiet.

Unless this new contract—where they’re calling the engine a Brand—specifically says Red Bull can't dump their supplier if they say one bad word about General Motors, I don't see it happening. 🤔

That 👍

General Motors really screwed them over—it’s laid out clearly in the text, I don't know why you're digging your heels in. Just for once, stop hating on Red Bull...
🤦

No way.
So here’s why Red Bull was struggling so much

And no, Tibi—it's not Tibi, the engine is actually perfect 🙂

Whatever, man.
stormybadger8 said:Exactly. Red Bull has the best chassis and the most "talented" drivers out there...
The chassis is so good it basically bounces through corners like a newborn deer in a meadow, and the drivers? Just flawless. 🙏
One spends his time kissing the walls with a big grin on his face, while the other is a master of the "fifth gear." 😁

The only one to blame is that damn Swiss guy who decided to start building engines after his hours were up...

Last season, one of them beat both Ferraris, and the other—who barely even drove the Red Bull this season—beat Kimi Räikkönen 👋

stormybadger8 said:If he keeps driving like he did today without a care in the world, they won't just kick him out of Red Bull; he won't even find a seat in a mid-tier car...

Red Bull is already looking for an excuse to drop a driver, and today was clearly just the fallout from him losing his cool...
I mean, Max has been breathing down his neck constantly. Even today, he was faster through the first two sectors, which is exactly why he started forcing it and ended up being a jerk...
What’s worse is that the second team isn't actually that far behind Red Bull, and since they have great drivers, the main crew definitely won't tolerate being sabotaged by the junior squad...

So don't sweat it, Daniel Ricciardo will be out of Red Bull in a heartbeat if he keeps this up. The real question is whether Mercedes-Benz would even want him...

What a drive though. He was actually faster than Max in everything until that one mistake...

Things are heating up at Red Bull Racing and they're looking to move a certain driver out—today was just the result of him getting too rattled...

Well, if they stay this bad, I'd love to see them push Daniel Ricciardo into that Mercedes seat instead🙂

Max was giving him trouble quite often last year,

And now Rick is doing it even more frequently🙂

Honestly, I'm pretty disappointed with Red Bull. Being over a second behind the leader is just way too much—especially after all that hype about them having massive ups and downs 😢

If there had been a clause in his contract allowing Rick to move over to Mercedes in 2018... but man, I doubt Red Bull Racing would ever let him go.

Until it shows up at 10th on the official starting grid, nothing is set in stone.
That thing you posted isn't even the official qualifying results, let alone the grid.

Chances are he trashed the gearbox. Given how loud that bang was, a replacement is almost a certainty...
Even if they can swap it out, I wonder if it's even worth the risk for this race and the ones coming up.

ESPN just posted the grid too and he's listed at 10th, so we'll see. Either way, Renault is slower than them anyway.👋
stormybadger8 said:If you'd rather see Red Bull sacrifice this season just to be second place next year, fine, great idea.👍
Personally, I'd much rather see Ferrari focus on developing this year's car and PU like they did last year, which is why they're actually fighting Meck right now. I don't care if Red Bull had won a few more races last year if it meant being totally screwed today like a bunch of idiots...

Who said that...? 🤦

I’m honestly much happier that Ferrari jumped straight into developing this year's car and PU last year—seeing them actually give Meck a run for their money now is huge. Meanwhile, Red Bull Racing can't even touch them... if they hadn't just grabbed a couple of wins last season and thought they were set, they wouldn't be in this mess right now. They're totally cooked...

It’s easy for Ferrari when they actually have the right engines—they’re solid. But the massive headache for Red Bull Racing is definitely their power unit... specifically dealing with Renault. If Red Bull could just snag a Mercedes or a Ferrari engine, they'd be running away with it—but it looks like those guys were too chicken to hand over their tech... ☕

🙂

Tomorrow, you and I are both pulling for Vettel 😁
stormybadger8 said:That’s just plain wrong...
It’s not that Ferrari regressed; they just had a mountain of trophies and some incredibly stupid pit wall decisions. Based on what we saw today, they were clearly smarter than Red Bull Racing because they shifted their resources toward the 2017 car and Power Unit way ahead of schedule...
Meanwhile, Red Bull Racing and especially Renault kept pushing upgrades until the very end, so it’s no surprise they caught up last year. Honestly, though, it looks like a massive blunder on their part—a total Pyrrhic victory, considering how hard they're hitting this season.

Renault actually stopped developing their engine halfway through the season—they didn't even burn through all their remaining tokens. They shifted their whole focus toward a new engine concept instead. Meanwhile, Red Bull Racing can develop two cars in parallel because they actually have the resources to pull it off.
It’s not the shine—it’s the neck🙄
It says here that Rick is starting 10th.

http://www.gpupdate.net/en/f1-result...-1-grand-prix/

Max might just dive into that first corner and mess things up for someone—he did say this race was looking pretty boring...😁

mellowtiger83 said:Don't you guys get it yet? Ferrari is taking pole in Australia...

😂 😂 😂
What's the word on changing Rick's gearbox? 🤔
It’s about how you develop through the season, not just how you nail that first race. And right now, Ferrari isn't exactly thriving—they lost ground to Red Bull Racing last year and ended up in third... which means they've actually slipped behind where they were back in 2015.
stormybadger8 said:Just realized I completely screwed myself thanks to Richie 😳
I can predict just about anything except for that clown Richie landing in the top 8 🤦

If only Doug had rooted for him until the end of his career 😠

How on earth did you miss that, especially after you claimed Renault was faster than Red Bull? 😂
northerncobra31 said:How much did Sinek lose out on for pole position?

I lost my bet on pole—was banking on Vettel...😂
Jack Kelly5 said:Man, Daniel Ricciardo is looking pretty rough lately. I mean, making a rookie mistake like that right on home soil... it’s just painful to watch. I guess Max Verstappen is just going to absolutely steamroll him this season.

So Rick messed up, big deal. He was actually faster than a hyped-up Max in all three practice sessions and during qualifying before he went off...☕
